We're looking for a Principal Product Manager to help define the future of payments at Playlist. This role sits at the intersection of platform strategy, payments infrastructure, customer experience, and business growth. You'll work across multiple product lines, markets, and stakeholder groups to create scalable capabilities that help teams move faster while delivering better outcomes for merchants and consumers.

The Role You'll Play

As a senior individual contributor, you’ll lead through influence, product judgment, and disciplined execution. You’ll shape shared payment capabilities that address critical business needs today while establishing a foundation for long-term scale, reliability, and global growth.

• Define the long-term vision, strategy, and roadmap for shared payment capabilities across Playlist

• Identify opportunities to create leverage through common platforms, clear ownership, and thoughtful trade-offs.

• Lead the evolution of payment processing, partner integrations, reliability, scalability, reporting, and future platform capabilities.

• Partner with Engineering to evaluate build-versus-buy decisions and prioritize investments that create lasting business value.

• Shape shared payment experiences across products and markets, focusing on conversion, trust, accessibility, and ease of adoption.

• Collaborate with Engineering, Design, Compliance, Finance, Operations, Risk, go-to-market teams, and Product leaders to align priorities and deliver critical initiatives.

• Drive adoption of shared capabilities by building trust, clarifying trade-offs, and demonstrating measurable value for merchants, consumers, and the business.

• Establish frameworks, principles, and operating practices that strengthen product and payment decision-making across Playlist.

Experience You Bring

• 10+ years of product management experience, including significant ownership of platform products, payment products, fintech experiences, or other technically complex domains.

• Deep knowledge of payment ecosystems, including processing, authorization, settlement, reconciliation, disputes, partner relationships, and operational considerations.

• Experience building shared capabilities adopted by multiple teams across products, markets, or business areas.

• Strong systems thinking and the ability to navigate complex dependencies, trade-offs, integrations, APIs, architecture, and technical constraints.

• Proven ability to partner with Engineering and Design to create customer experiences that balance technical quality, trust, accessibility, and business outcomes.

• Clear communication skills and experience aligning stakeholders, building consensus, and simplifying complex topics for technical and nontechnical audiences.

• A track record of delivering meaningful business outcomes in ambiguous, high-impact environments.

• Experience with international products, payments, regulatory requirements, or multi-market launches is a plus.
