Pharma Contracting Lead

About the role

Evio and the six health plans we represent are uniquely positioned in the market and have demonstrated success in creating innovative partnerships with pharmaceutical manufacturers. As the regulatory environment for health plans, PBMs/GPOs, and manufacturers rapidly evolves over the next several years, Evio is expanding our direct manufacturer contracting capabilities and growing the team supporting this work.

The Pharma Contracting Lead will contribute to the team by developing manufacturer relationships, negotiating innovative medication agreements, and driving deal flow and revenue in this growing business segment.

Evio focuses on entering into innovative agreements with pharmaceutical manufacturers that reduce medication costs for Evio's investor/customer health plans and their members.

The ideal candidate brings deep understanding of the pharmaceutical supply chain, payer-pharma contracting strategies, and a proven track record of developing, negotiating, and closing pharma-payer agreements. This is a hands-on role for someone who combines strategic thinking, industry credibility, and a willingness to roll up their sleeves.

What you'll do

In this role, you will partner with senior Evio leaders and teammates to:

Establish and grow relationships with assigned pharmaceutical manufacturers across medical and pharmacy benefits.

Design creative deal structures for targeted medications, emphasizing innovative, non-rebate arrangements that improve access and affordability for Evio's health plan customers.

Negotiate and secure medical benefit access contracts with assigned pharmaceutical manufacturers that meet Evio's strategic and financial goals.

Manage the full deal cycle from origination through contract execution, coordinating with legal, operations, and other cross-functional teammates to resolve issues and maintain momentum.

Secure market-leading pricing, terms, and safeguards by leveraging the volume of Evio investor/customer health plans across high-spend specialty and provider-administered medications.

Represent Evio at industry meetings, conferences, and in discussions with pharmaceutical manufacturers and payer customers, including occasional live and virtual Evio board interactions.

Independently identify and advance new contracting opportunities, solve complex challenges, and drive deals forward in an evolving business.

Be willing to travel based on meeting requirements and business needs; however, a significant amount of deal creation and negotiation can be done virtually.
