About Anthropic

Anthropic's mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.

About Beneficial Deployments

Beneficial Deployments ensures AI reaches and benefits the communities that need it most. We partner with nonprofits, governments, and mission-driven organizations to deploy Claude in education, global health, economic mobility, and life sciences.

About the Role:

We're looking for a Partnerships Manager to help extend Anthropic's health work into US public health. Building on our existing global health portfolio, you'll help shape how we engage the US public health system and manage a set of partnerships across federal, state, and local levels. Because this is an emerging area for the team, the role blends partnership management with meaningful contribution to strategy.

The right person combines credibility in the US public health ecosystem, enough technical fluency to be a real thought partner on AI deployment, and comfort operating in a space that's still taking shape.

This role is distinct from our Account Executive function: while AEs drive scaled adoption of Anthropic's core products, Partnership Managers build deep partnerships that require custom deployments, research collaboration, and hands-on program design. You'll work with a smaller portfolio of flagship partners where the goal is driving impact metrics and creating learnings that benefit the broader ecosystem.

Responsibilities:

Contribute to Anthropic's US public health strategy, working closely with the team lead to identify priority partners and use cases and bringing field insights back to inform our broader health work

Own a portfolio of flagship deployments, coordinating with Applied AI, product, policy, and GTM teams to deliver impact

Source, evaluate, and onboard new partners; structure engagements that work within government procurement, data governance, and privacy constraints

Translate partner needs into deployment plans that account for legacy systems and workforce realities

Support the creation of shared resources and digital public goods that help the broader field use AI responsibly

Build the evidence base by partnering with academic and evaluation organizations to study what works

Represent Anthropic at public health convenings and with funders and policymakers

Help shape team processes as we grow this area; hand off opportunities better suited to scaled sales or public sector motions

Travel to partner sites and to SF headquarters every ~6 weeks for those based outside SF (~20% travel)

You Might Be a Good Fit If You Have:

10+ years of experience in US public health, health policy, or public sector health innovation

5+ years managing external partnerships, multi-stakeholder initiatives, or programs that span government and civil society

Deep relationships and credibility in the US public health ecosystem — you know the key players at CDC, state health departments, major schools of public health, and the foundations that fund this work

A working understanding of how federal, state, and local public health agencies operate, fund programs, and adopt new technology

Technical fluency to engage credibly on AI concepts, understand LLM capabilities and limitations, and partner effectively with technical teams

Experience building programs or portfolios in early-stage environments where the playbook is still being written

High agency and comfort with ambiguity; you thrive when the playbook doesn't exist yet

A genuine drive to strengthen the public health system and the communities it serves

An MPH or related credential

Strong Candidates May Also Have:

Experience inside a federal or state health agency (CDC, HHS, a state DOH) or at an organization that works closely with them

Background in epidemiology, ideally with hands-on surveillance experience at a state, local, or federal health agency

Experience working in a global context

Experience at a healthtech company, AI organization, or in a product-adjacent role

The annual compensation range for this role is listed below.

For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role.

Annual Salary:
