Group Overview
Special Air Missions Group (SAM) is responsible for developing and delivering Metrea’s Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR), Special Mobility, and Aerial Firefighting (AFF) capabilities. SAM oversees the integration of new mission systems, ensuring operational readiness across specialized aviation operations. It manages fleet maintenance, regulatory compliance, and strategic partnerships to enhance mission effectiveness. By consolidating expertise and infrastructure, SAM ensures Metrea’s airborne capabilities remain adaptable and mission-ready across dynamic operational environments.
Position Summary
Reporting to the Site Operations Manager, the Operations Supervisor is responsible for the execution and coordination of ISR flight operations at the site level. This role supports day-to-day flight and ground operations, ensuring missions are conducted safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved procedures and regulatory frameworks. The Operations Supervisor applies prior ISR operations experience to support operational planning, scheduling, and execution, while operating under the authority and direction of the Site Operations Manager. The ideal candidate has a demonstrated record of expertise in operational planning and tactical execution, within the broader context of large, complex, and geographically dislocated flight operations in support of the U.S. Government, allies, and partners.
What You'll Do
Execute and coordinate site-level ISR operations, including daily flight schedules, mission execution, and operational continuity
Support flight following, mission monitoring, and operational status tracking for site operations
Coordinate aircrew, maintenance, and ground support activities to meet mission requirements
Support stand-up, transition, and sustainment of ISR operations at the site, including surge or contingency operations
Implement and enforce approved flight operations procedures and site directives
Support site compliance with applicable aviation regulations, safety processes, OPSEC, and COMSEC requirements
Assist with site-level operational reporting, metrics, and briefings
Coordinate site logistics, facilities, and mission support resources
Identify operational risks, constraints, and improvement opportunities and elevate them to the Site Operations Manager
Support audits, inspections, and readiness assessments as directed
What You Bring
5+ years of civil or military Program and Project Management experience, of which at least 3 years should be from the aviation industry
Understanding of Aviation Management Systems, Safety Management Systems (SMS), and Risk Management Frameworks
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Exceptional level of critical thinking, analysis, creativity, problem solving, negotiation, conflict management, and time management
Proficiency in external communications tools (Outlook), internal communications tools (Teams), work management tools (Monday.com), and knowledge/process management tools (SharePoint, Notion, Azure, Lucid)
Proficiency in aviation weather, flight planning, flight following tools
5+ years of operational experience in civil or military aviation, of which at least 4 years should be in a position responsible for the oversight of aircrew
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
Master’s Degree (any discipline)
Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)
Proficiency in FL3XX Aviation Management tools
Proficiency in ForeFlight

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time exempt position with daily working hours for this position varying Monday through Sunday while deployed. Hours and work shifts may vary in accordance with business needs. You will be scheduled to forward deploy/work approximately 60-90 days OCONUS followed by rotation off-site for approximately 60-90 days. Rotation schedule might be adjusted to meet program requirements.
Work Environment
This job predominantly operates in an office setting, with occasional operation out of the company hangars.
Travel
25% CONUS to travel to customer meetings as required.
Base Pay Range
The compensation range shown below is a good faith estimate and reflects the expected base pay for this position upon hire. This is just one component of Metrea's overall approach to total rewards and final compensation decisions, including the ultimate salary or hourly rate agreed upon, may vary depending on factors such as job location, job-specific knowledge, skills, experience, and the overall negotiated compensation package. Pay Range
$700—$700 USD
