The New York Times Licensing Division is the primary content licensing unit of The New York Times. We are seeking an Operations Manager for the APAC region to assist with management of the day-to-day operations of the sales team including contract administration, billing, reporting, project management, and special projects.

The Global Sales Operations team is the cornerstone of the sales operation, providing key support that focuses on a more effective and efficient sales process enabling the sales associates to focus on revenue generation.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Global Operations, the operations manager must have experience working in a fast-paced, multi-faceted environment, be highly organized, have the ability to work on multiple projects at the same time and be able to interact well with all levels of the organization. They will play an indispensable team role in defining and expanding relationships with large and small media and non-media clients across the licensing and B2B subscription business for the APAC region.

The role can be based in Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore or South Korea. The location will be discussed with the recruiter at the beginning of the process.

Responsibilities:

Manage day-to-day operations of the APAC team including contract administration, billing, collections, reporting, project management, lead generation and special projects

Support International Sales team with key strategic and operational initiatives within Licensing and B2B subscriptions that drive revenue growth

Manage CRM and financial data platforms ensuring that they continue to work optimally for sales including but not limited to managing lead generation, ensuring accurate data, contract management and reporting for Licensing and B2B subscriptions

Manage sales data, perform data validation and cleansing to help sales leaders make better data-driven decisions

Act as the primary operational liaison between the APAC sales team and collaborate with intra-company colleagues (Legal, Finance, Tech) to resolve bottlenecks caused by time zone differences

Monitor and audit client usage reports to ensure compliance with licensing and B2B subscription terms

Facilitate the delivery of content assets and troubleshooting technical feed issues for both B2B and licensing partners

Manage the contract creation and execution process using approved boilerplates

Manage sales reports and data from clients and key vendors as needed

Assist and participate in other operational projects/initiatives as needed for the business

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree and/or 5+ years relevant experience

Data-driven, with great attention to detail.

General familiarity with Salesforce, MS Office, professional use of AI tools and other sales/admin related tools

An innovative entrepreneurial spirit

The ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels across the organization

An ability to work autonomously and manage stakeholders across multiple time zones, working collaboratively with colleagues across the regions.

Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

Proficiency in English, written and spoken

Business level proficiency in Chinese, Japanese, and Indian languages preferred
