Position Overview

The Learning & Onboarding Specialist is responsible for delivering and continuously improving the onboarding and learning experience across BGBx. This role owns onboarding operations, coordinates enterprise learning programs, administers learning systems, and partners across the business to ensure employees receive a consistent, engaging, and effective introduction to BGBx while building the knowledge and connections needed to succeed.

Working closely with HR Business Partners, business leaders, and subject matter experts, the Learning & Onboarding Specialist helps employees connect to our culture, understand our business, and continue their professional development throughout their career journey.

Responsibilities

Onboarding Program Management

Manage the enterprise onboarding experience across BGBx.

Lead the end-to-end preboarding and onboarding process, ensuring a seamless transition from candidate to employee.

Serve as the primary liaison between Talent Acquisition, HR Business Partners, hiring managers, and new hires throughout the onboarding experience.

Maintain and continuously improve onboarding standards, processes, resources, tools, and communications.

Partner with HR and business leaders to ensure onboarding content reflects current organizational priorities, business objectives, structure, and operating practices.

Monitor onboarding effectiveness through employee feedback, participation metrics, and business insights.

Implement enhancements that improve the new hire experience and accelerate speed to productivity.

Lead cross-functional onboarding initiatives that create consistency across Communications and Consulting while supporting each business’s unique needs.

START Class Management

Manage and continuously evolve START Class, the cornerstone of the BGBx onboarding experience.

Coordinate and facilitate START Class programming and participant communications.

Manage schedules, logistics, enrollment, and onboarding communications.

Partner with presenters, facilitators, and executive leaders to deliver engaging learning experiences.

Maintain a network of onboarding facilitators across the organization.

Ensure content reflects the BGBx strategy, culture, values, and operating model.

Deliver a consistent onboarding experience while reinforcing the unique identities of our divisions and practices.

Gather participant feedback, analyze outcomes, and implement continuous improvements.

Learning Operations & Program Support

Administer Docebo and other learning technologies that support onboarding, compliance, and employee development.

Coordinate required training, compliance programs, and enterprise learning initiatives.

Manage learning logistics, enrollment processes, communications, and completion tracking.

Maintain learning calendars, schedules, and program documentation.

Analyze participation and effectiveness data and provide insights to improve onboarding and learning outcomes.

Prepare reports and dashboards related to onboarding and learning performance.

Support manager and employee development programs.

Maintain learning resources and ensure content remains current, accessible, and aligned with business needs.

Develop and continuously enhance onboarding and learning curriculum, partnering with subject matter experts to create engaging, learner-centered content that supports business priorities and employee development.

Support enterprise-wide learning initiatives, process improvements, and special projects.

Culture & Employee Experience

Embed BGBx values, culture, and ways of working throughout the onboarding experience.

Facilitate onboarding, culture, and employee experience sessions.

Create opportunities for new hires to build meaningful connections across the organization.

Support employee engagement, culture, and learning initiatives as needed.

Help employees understand how Communications and Consulting work together to serve clients and drive business success.

Qualifications

Experience

3-5 years of experience in onboarding, learning and development, talent management, employee experience, human resources, or a related field.

Experience managing or coordinating employee programs, learning initiatives, or development activities.

Experience designing, developing, or enhancing onboarding and learning curriculum

Strong project management and organizational skills.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders simultaneously.

Experience partnering across business units and functional teams.

Experience in a professional services, consulting, agency, healthcare communications, or other fast-paced environment preferred.

Build scalable learning operations that support future growth and development initiatives.

Salary Range: $70,000 - $90,000

BGBx is headquartered in New York City, and the salary range listed reflects the expected base compensation for this role in the New York metropolitan area. This position may be performed remotely within the United States. For candidates located outside the New York City area, compensation will be adjusted to reflect the applicable market for the employee’s primary work location. Final compensation will be determined based on geographic location, experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors.
