Lead Country Commercial Manager for Payments UK
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Banking Payments team is responsible for driving engagement, usage and commercial performance across Tide’s banking payment products and member payment journeys.
We are looking for an exceptional Lead Country Commercial Manager to drive growth and commercial performance across Banking Payments in the UK. This role sits at the heart of Tide’s Payments organisation and will work cross-functionally with Product, Finance, BI, CRM, Operations and Member Success teams to accelerate payment usage, optimise member journeys and deliver strategic commercial initiatives.
This role requires a highly commercial and analytical operator who can translate data and member insight into actionable strategies, campaigns and product opportunities.
SOME OF THE THINGS YOU’LL BE DOING
Revenue Ownership & Forecasting
Partner closely with Finance and key stakeholders to set, track and refine commercial projections for Banking Payments, ensuring clear accountability against revenue and engagement targets.
Analytics-Driven Insight
Work closely with BI and analytics teams to understand member payment behaviours, identify opportunities and measure performance across key initiatives.
Product & Commercial Strategy
Partner with Product teams to shape payment propositions, improve member journeys and influence roadmap prioritisation using commercial insight and member feedback.
Launch Strategy & GTM
Lead the commercialisation and go-to-market strategy for Banking Payment features and initiatives, ensuring coordinated execution across CRM, in-app, servicing and operational channels.
Lifecycle & Engagement Strategy
Work closely with CRM and marketing teams to develop “always on” payment engagement strategies that drive activation, usage and retention.
Stakeholder Management
Collaborate across Product, Finance, Operations, Engineering and Senior Leadership teams to align on priorities, performance and strategic direction.
Commercial & Competitor Intelligence
Monitor payment trends, competitor propositions and market developments to identify opportunities that strengthen Tide’s Banking Payments offering.
Member Obsession
Become an expert in member payment behaviours and needs, ensuring the member voice is central to commercial and product decision-making.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Strong commercial acumen with experience driving measurable business impact
Proven experience managing commercial performance within payments, fintech or banking
Strong analytical mindset with ability to translate insights into execution plans
Experience delivering GTM and lifecycle engagement strategies
Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills
Strong project management capabilities within fast-paced environments
Self-starter mentality with high ownership and accountability
Experience working closely with Product, CRM, Finance and BI teams
Ability to operate strategically while remaining execution-focused
Expected Outcomes of the Role
Within 12 months, this role would:
Establish dedicated commercial ownership for Banking Payments
Improve payment engagement and usage metrics
