What you'll do:
Build and run platform tooling
Design, implement, and maintain shared libraries, data pipelines, and automation workflows so data teams ship workloads safely and consistently.
Partner with data teams to design and ship platform features and patterns that improve developer ergonomics and keep teams on a consistent stack.
Build reusable platform components (ingestion patterns, observability hooks, data-quality integrations) that teams adopt instead of one-off implementations.
Keep schemas, contracts, and interfaces clear across releases and pipeline templates and actively think about how changes impact teams that are using it.
Observability and developer enablement
Build observability integrations (metrics, logging, tracing, alerting, automations) and CI/CD foundations (build validation, policy-as-code, test harnesses).
Help teams adopt platform tools through docs, examples, and hands-on support.
Work on lakehouse workloads and jobs on cloud infrastructure, primarily in Python.
What you'll need:
Solid experience with data engineering and data platform tooling.
Solid Python and SQL for automation, library development, and data-platform workflows.
Experience building or maintaining CI/CD pipelines with Git and modern pipeline tooling.
Hands-on experience with Databricks or similar lakehouse platforms (jobs/workflows, workspace operations, catalog governance).
Familiarity with Azure Cloud.
Good to have: OpenTelemetry, Poetry, UV, and package publishing and artifact management.
Testing: unit tests, pipeline validation, schema or contract checks.
