About the Role

DoorDash is seeking an Insurance Claims Operations Associate to join our Claims Operations team. In this role, you will manage the intake, documentation, and follow-up work that keeps cases moving efficiently from first report through resolution.

You will work closely with internal systems, AI-assisted tools, and cross-functional partners to ensure every case is accurately created, updated, and progressed. Your work directly supports the team's ability to deliver timely, high-quality outcomes for the people we serve.

This role is well suited to someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable managing a high volume of work in a fast-paced environment.

This position will report to a Supervisor, Insurance Claims Operations and is fully remote. Onboarding will take place over the first 4–6 weeks, Monday through Friday. After onboarding, schedules may be assigned on any day Monday through Sunday based on business needs.

Execute high-volume intake and case processing across multiple channels

Prepare and submit FNOL details for claim establishment

Review, organize, and accurately input incoming documentation and attachments

Identify and resolve missing, inconsistent, or incomplete information using defined workflows and tools

Support operational workflows by addressing routing issues, intake gaps, and system exceptions

Maintain accurate, consistent, and up-to-date data across multiple systems

Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, production-driven environment while meeting daily performance targets

Communicate effectively with internal teams to ensure timely and efficient case progression

Contribute to continuous process improvements as workflows evolve with automation and AI

1+ years of experience in operations, claims intake, insurance support, or a similar high-volume environment

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured processes consistently

Comfortable working across multiple systems and tools simultaneously

Ability to manage time effectively and meet daily productivity expectations

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion

Experience in insurance, claims, or risk operations is a plus (but not required)

A process-driven mindset with a focus on accuracy and efficiency

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment

Strong organizational skills and ability to manage repetitive workflows with consistency

Adaptability as tools, systems, and workflows evolve with automation

Compensation

The successful candidate’s starting pay will fall within the pay range listed below and is determined based on job-related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. Base salary is localized according to an employee’s work location. Ranges are market-dependent and may be modified in the future.

For salaried roles: flexible paid time off/vacation, plus 80 hours of paid sick time per year.

For hourly roles: vacation accrued at about 1 hour for every 25.97 hours worked (e.g. about 6.7 hours/month if working 40 hours/week; about 3.4 hours/month if working 20 hours/week), and paid sick time accrued at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked (e.g. about 5.8 hours/month if working 40 hours/week; about 2.9 hours/month if working 20 hours/week).

The national base pay range for this position within the United States, including Illinois and Colorado.
