Infrastructure Engineer (Azure)
This role is open for multiple levels and titles. Final title/compensation will be determined by how your interview weighs against our core competencies during your interview cycle. This role is pending contract award.
Position summary
We are seeking an Infrastructure Engineer (Azure) to support the design and implementation of an Azure cloud environment for a large-scale government modernization effort. This role will focus on establishing Bicep/Terraform module library's and CI/CD delivery. The Infrastructure Engineer (Azure) will partner closely with cloud architects, engineers, and client stakeholders to define and implement best practices aligned with federal and state requirements.
What you'll do
Implement Azure infrastructure components (subscriptions, resource groups, networking, and services) based on defined architecture
Build and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using tools such as Bicep or Terraform
Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated infrastructure deployment
Configure networking, connectivity, and environment provisioning across cloud and hybrid systems
Support onboarding of applications and workloads into the Azure tenant
Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve infrastructure issues to ensure reliability and performance
Apply governance configurations such as tagging, policies, and cost controls
Collaborate with architects and security engineers to ensure implementations align with design and compliance requirements
Mentor less senior engineers
Join our on-call rotation as a first line of defense during production issues
Take part in hiring activities (e.g., submitting referrals, conducting interviews, and attending interview debriefs), as needed
Required skills
Minimum of 5 years of experience working within Azure cloud
Experience building CI/CD pipeline using Github actions, Jenkins, and Azure DevOps
Experience deploying and managing infrastructure using one or more of: terraform, bicep, ARM templates
Experience configuring virtual networks, hybrid connectivity, DNS, and load balancing
Experience with API security, rate limiting, monitoring and auditing
Experience scripting in one or more of: Powershell, Python, Bash
Azure API management, implementation and governance
Authentication and authorization using OAuth 2.0 and Open Connect
Prior experience with Event-driven architecture using Azure event hubs
Stakeholder management skills and a proven ability to build strong relationships and trust throughout the organization
Preferred experience working with Agile frameworks
Compensation
$120,600—$135,900 USD
