Influencer Director, EMEA
About the Role
Based in the Monks Paris office, you will lead and grow the influencer marketing business for Monks with a focus on building our French business and the wider opportunities within the EMEA clients we have on our roster. This is a senior role sitting at the intersection of strategy, client growth, and people management.
As the external face of our local influence expertise, you will embody our vision at keynotes, industry events, and high-stakes client meetings, serving as a critical growth thought leader, while contributing valuable expertise to local and regional initiatives.
What You'll Do
Client Growth & Partnerships
Act as the strategic lead on complex, high-budget pitches and drive revenue growth across key anchor accounts in France and the broader EMEA region.
Build deep, senior-level relationships to serve as the trusted advisor clients call when they have a strategic influencer question, not just a brief to fill.
Be a partner to the client, develop a clear growth plan for each account that is aligned with their business objective to drive organic growth.
Partner closely with EMEA Operations and regional cross-functional teams (Strategy, Creative, Data, and Paid Media) to bridge owned, earned, and paid media.
Team Leadership & Operations
Lead and manage the influencer team across France and EMEA markets, running annual performance reviews and supporting career development for both the local Paris team and regional market leads.
Secure and streamline internal workflows to reliably execute increasingly large-scope projects featuring hundreds of influencers simultaneously.
Ensure the team operates within agreed workflows and utilises required tools like Captive8, campaign planning templates, and KPI estimation systems.
Oversee the evaluation and transition of tech tools used by the local team, collaborating closely with international counterparts.
Work closely with legal teams to stay ahead of local (French) and regional influencer regulations to ensure strict campaign compliance.
Maintain and elevate the team’s reputation internally and externally by representing Monks at public events, keynotes, panels, and identifying industry awards worth entering.
Influencer Strategy & Education
Adapt and implement the GTM influencer strategy for the French market while coordinating with the wider EMEA network to standardise regional processes and best practices.
Run workshops and masterclasses to raise influencer literacy among leadership and account leads, ensuring other teams can confidently identify and bring in influencer opportunities early.
Deliver at least three client-facing workshops annually, collaborating with partner platforms and creators to leverage emerging social trends, performance tools, and content dynamics.
Champion the integration of paid social amplification and social data analytics as a core complement to influencer activations.
Who You Are
You have 7–10+ years of experience spanning social media strategy, strategic planning, and dedicated influencer marketing management within fast-paced digital, creative, or activation agencies.
You have deep experience managing large-scale, high-volume creator campaigns, with a strong understanding of both the French ecosystem and the broader EMEA market landscape.
You possess a proven leadership track record, with experience managing multi-level teams (including senior and junior profiles) and knowing how to develop people without micromanaging.
You are highly confident in external-facing environments, with the communication skills required to command a room at keynotes, industry events, or C-level client presentations.
You have a strong understanding of how a global agency structure works, with the ability to navigate it seamlessly without losing momentum locally.
You are bilingually fluent in French and English, which is mandatory to navigate local client relationships while connecting with our international network.
At Monks, we believe in fostering an environment where a diversity of perspectives can thrive. We proactively work to design hiring processes that promote equity and inclusion while mitigating bias. We celebrate diversity and are committed to building a team that reflects the communities we serve. We welcome and encourage qualified applicants, from all backgrounds, who are excited to contribute to our mission.
