About the Role

As a Senior SDET Engineer, you’ll own the quality gate for an agentic codebase in which human engineers and AI coding agents work side by side. Embedded within a .Monks delivery team, you’ll collaborate with clients, product leaders, and engineers to define what “done and correct” means, validate functional correctness, and determine whether work is ready for production. You’ll also shape how tools such as Claude Code and Codex support quality throughout a fast-moving development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

Own acceptance testing, functional validation, regression coverage, and release-quality decisions for human- and AI-generated code

Define clear acceptance criteria and quality standards in partnership with clients, product teams, and engineers

Design, implement, and maintain automated test suites and frameworks across web, API, and end-to-end workflows

Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and agentic development workflows

Review and validate code quality, system behavior, and production readiness

Identify edge cases and failure modes that may be overlooked during development

Investigate test and production failures, determine root causes, and drive issues through resolution

Shift quality practices upstream to help engineers and AI agents produce more reliable work

Communicate quality risks, expected behavior, and release recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders

Contribute to the evolution of testing and evaluation frameworks for AI-assisted software delivery
