Industrial Hygienist / Scientist 1 - Staff Scientist

Apex is seeking to add an Industrial Hygienist to our dynamic team in Seattle, Washington.

The compensation for this role is $28-35 hourly, full time, with benefits, 75% in field/25% in office. The role is field-intensive and supports a broad range of projects located in the Puget Sound Region. These projects reflect Apex's core practices in industrial hygiene/health and safety, environmental compliance, indoor air quality, and contaminated site assessments.

Job Responsibilities:

Hazardous building materials inspections and sampling

Project code compliance monitoring and oversight for hazardous material abatement projects

Indoor air quality evaluations

Technical report preparation

General project administrative duties

What we're looking for:

Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, Biology, Chemistry, Health & Safety or related field.

1+ years of experience with environmental field sampling and data collection. (preferred)

Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills

Technical field aptitude including critical thinking, planning, execution, and field documentation.

A valid driver's license and flexibility to travel throughout the Pacific Northwest

Preferred Qualifications:

AHERA Asbestos Inspector

AHERA Project Designer

HAZWOPER certification
