ABOUT THE ROLE:
This is a first line manager role leading our Asia and Middle East sales team: around nine professionals spanning Strategic and Mid-Market roles, potentially including Customer Success Management and Solutions Engineering. Reporting to the VP of Sales and Revenue Operations, you will drive results across both transactional and strategic direct sales, from sub $10k deals to $1M+ multi-year agreements, while carrying an individual new business target alongside the team’s.
A key part of the role is evolving the team from a hybrid model to one with clear delineation between new logo acquisition and retention and expansion. You will work closely with Legal, Marketing, Solutions Consulting, Indirect Sales and Customer Success, and represent Asia in leadership meetings. Success looks like delivering the region’s annual new business and revenue retention targets with a high-performing, well-coached team.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
Lead, coach and manage a team of sales professionals across Japan, Singapore and the Middle East
Lead from the front on new logo acquisition, carrying an individual revenue target in addition to the team’s
Deliver against annual new business, gross revenue retention and net revenue retention targets across the region
Reshape the team from a hybrid function to one with clear delineation between new logos and retention and expansion
Balance strategic account development with transactional deal execution, supporting deal sizes from under $10k to $1M+
Provide hands-on technical sales leadership across product positioning, demos, pricing and negotiation
Own team KPIs and reporting, ensuring visibility into activity, pipeline health, forecast accuracy and conversion rates
Embed consistent sales methodology and process discipline using Salesforce and other enablement tools
Collaborate cross-functionally with Legal, Marketing, Solutions Consulting, Indirect Sales and Customer Success
Represent Asia in leadership meetings and support transformation initiatives across team structure, performance culture and territory management
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
Experience leading, coaching and developing direct sales teams, ideally across multiple markets in Asia and/or the Middle East
A proven track record of winning new business personally as well as through a team
Ability to operate comfortably across the full deal spectrum, from fast-moving transactional sales to complex, multi-year strategic agreements
Strong understanding of pipeline management, forecasting and sales methodology, with the discipline to embed both in a team
Comfortable getting hands-on in deals: positioning, demos, pricing and negotiation
Experience guiding teams through change, whether in structure, territory or ways of working
Confident working with Salesforce and modern sales enablement tools
IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING THAT WOULD BE GREAT:
Experience in aviation, travel technology, or data and analytics businesses
Exposure to retention and expansion motions, including Customer Success or Solutions Engineering teams
Familiarity with selling into Japanese, Singaporean or Middle Eastern markets, including local business culture and language skills
If you don’t meet every requirement but feel excited about this role, we’d still love to hear from you.
WE WILL OFFER YOU:
💡 You will proactively explore and adopt AI tools and automation in your day-to-day work, keeping the customer at the centre of everything you do. You will share learnings with your team and approach new technologies with curiosity and an open mind. At OAG, finding better ways to work and putting customers first is everyone's responsibility.
🚀 Real responsibility on hard problems, with the autonomy to own decisions and act on them, in an open culture built on trust.
💰 An attractive compensation and benefits package, including private health insurance and a company bonus scheme
🏖️ 18 days holiday and a day off during your birthday month
OAG is committed to creating an inclusive workplace where everyone feels valued and able to perform at their best.
We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds and experiences. If you require reasonable adjustments at any stage of the recruitment process, please let us know — we’re happy to have an open conversation about how we can support you.
