Head of International Growth & Partnerships
About Host Hotel Systems:
Host is building the future of hospitality technology!
We’re creating a modern, unified platform that brings together property management, payments, and the entire guest journey into one seamless system—replacing the fragmented, outdated tools that hotels have had to rely on for years. Our mission is simple: help hotels run better, move faster, and deliver exceptional guest experiences at every touchpoint.
But what really sets Host apart is the stage we’re at.
We’re growing fast, solving real-world problems for leading hotel groups, and building technology that sits at the heart of how hospitality businesses operate every single day. This isn’t a maintenance role on a legacy system—this is an opportunity to shape a platform that is actively redefining an industry. We’re looking for exceptional people who care deeply about quality, ownership, and impact.
At Host, you won’t get lost in layers of bureaucracy. You’ll have autonomy, responsibility, and the chance to make a visible difference from day one. We value people who think critically, move with urgency, and take pride in doing things properly. We’re building something ambitious and we’re looking for people who want to build it with us.
The Opportunity
HHS is looking for a leader to grow the group outside Portugal, starting with Spain, and to build its indirect business through a network of resellers and distribution partners. You will decide which markets to open, in what order and with what entry model (direct sales, reseller and distribution, or local partnership), and you will design and run the partner programme and its tiers (Registered, Certified Integration and Strategic). The aim is to widen the group’s revenue base beyond Portugal in a sequenced, sustainable way, growing revenue through the channel without proportional structure cost.
You will report to the CEO, lead the Reseller & Partnerships Specialists, and build the international team as markets open, working in the meantime through the Sales and Professional Services teams.
What You Will Own
Strategy and Commercial Outcomes
Define market selection criteria (hotel stock, segment fit, competitive density, partner availability and regulatory cost), present a sequencing plan to the CEO with the cost of entry quantified, and decide the entry model market by market.
Open Spain as the first market, personally leading the first international opportunities and signing the first reference customers and local partners.
Own the indirect channel strategy for Portugal, Spain and each new market, achieve the annual channel revenue target, and set the commercial terms of the channel (discounts, margins, commissions and deal registration rules).
Ensure each market reaches Sales Efficiency of at least 1.0x on the international investment before scaling the structure.
Product and Technology Partnership
Anticipate, with the CTO, COO and CFO, the internal cost of each new market: fiscal certification, product localisation, multi-language support and delivery capacity.
Protect the brands by ensuring partners sell, implement and support HHS products to the required quality standard.
Team and Operations
Lead and develop the Reseller & Partnerships Specialists, and build the international team as revenue justifies it, proposing each position and its business case to the CEO.
Manage the full partner lifecycle, from application and contract through certification, renewal and termination, including quarterly business reviews with strategic partners and an annual enablement calendar.
Prevent channel conflict through clear deal registration rules, arbitrating account ownership with the Sales Team Leaders.
Report monthly to the CEO on pipeline, revenue, forecast, partner performance and risk by market and channel, with rigorous recording in HubSpot across the team.
Hand established markets over to the national sales structure, ensuring continuity of accounts and partners, and free the role for the next market.
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for a leader with proven market-entry experience in B2B software, preferably in hospitality, together with proven leadership of a channel or partner programme and an established network in Spain. This is someone who decides where and when to enter a market on evidence rather than opportunity, treats each new market and the channel as a business of their own, and knows when to abandon a geography.
Qualifications for success:
Led the entry of a product into a foreign market and signed the first local references.
Designed or revised the tiers and commercial terms of a partner programme.
Negotiated a multi-year reseller agreement.
Resolved a channel conflict with direct sales.
Handled another country’s invoicing requirements.
Knowledge of the Iberian hospitality market and of Iberian fiscal and invoicing requirements.
Portuguese, English and Spanish fluent to negotiation level.
Higher education in Management, Economics, Engineering or a related field.
The expected base salary for this position is €72,000-€88,000. Salary is based on a number of factors including market conditions and location, and may vary depending on job-related skills and experience. This position is for an existing vacancy.
