Position Summary

The Global Logistics & Customs Specialist will oversee end-to-end international logistics, customs operations, and compliance activities for inbound and outbound shipments across India. This role ensures timely, compliant, and cost-efficient movement of goods, covering commercial, defense, technical, and high-value equipment while coordinating with multiple global stakeholders, including freight forwarders, customs brokers, government authorities, and in-ternal teams.

The ideal candidate is a logistics professional with deep knowledge of Indian Customs procedures and EXIM policies, Special Import/Export and customs procedures, defense-related clearances, temporary imports (ATA Carnet), Dangerous Goods and international freight operations.

What You'll Do

Manage end-to-end import/export logistics (air, ocean, road)

Oversee (IN) EXIM/Customs documentation, HS classification, valuation, and clearance

Coordinate with internal and external global partners

Support IOR processes and collaborate with global teams, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and government authorities for restricted or defense-related shipments

Ensure compliance with DGFT, CBIC, SCOMET, and global export-control requirements

Maintain shipping documentation, ERP/TMS data accuracy, and performance reporting

What You Bring

Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, International Trade, or related field

4–8 years of experience in global logistics, freight forwarding, EXIM, or customs compli-ance in India

Strong understanding of Indian Customs Act, Foreign Trade Policy, DGFT regulations, SEZ rules, and SCOMET classifications

Experience coordinating with global freight forwarding partners

Familiarity with cargo movements requiring oversight by Indian defense agencies (preferred)

Proficiency with ERP/TMS systems and MS Office tools

Excellent communication, negotiation, and cross-cultural collaboration skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time role with typical working hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Hours and work shifts may change in accordance with department and business needs and teammates may be required to work over 40 hours per week with approval from the department manager.
