We're seeking an experienced Cloud Architect to join our engineering team and help build the next generation of cloud-native solutions for the aviation industry. You'll work on cutting-edge AI-powered systems that modernize airline operations, optimize efficiency, and improve passenger experiences globally.

Key responsibilities & duties include:

Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications using code (Python, .Net or Java) and microservices on AWS cloud infrastructure

Build and deploy cloud-native solutions using infrastructure-as-code principles with Terraform

Design, implement, and maintain event-driven architectures that enable real-time data flow and seamless integration across distributed systems.

Develop APIs and services that integrate with existing airline systems and third-party platforms

Implement AI/ML pipelines and data processing workflows to support operational intelligence

Architect and optimize serverless and containerized applications for high availability and performance

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data scientists, DevOps engineers, and product managers

Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code following best practices and design patterns

Participate in code reviews and mentor junior engineers

Contribute to technical architecture decisions and cloud strategy

Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize application performance and cloud costs

Required skills & qualifications:

Proven experience building and operating event-driven systems using technologies such as Kafka, AWS EventBridge, or similar messaging/event platforms.

Professional software development experience with Python, .Net or Java to a senior to lead level

Strong experience with AWS cloud services (Lambda, ECS/EKS, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, API Gateway, CloudWatch, etc.)

Proven experience with infrastructure-as-code using Terraform

Solid understanding of cloud architecture patterns and microservices design

Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices

Proficiency with RESTful API design and development

Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases

Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)

Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and collaborative development workflows

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment

Preferred skills & qualifications:

Experience in the aviation, travel, or transportation industry

Knowledge of AI/ML frameworks and libraries (TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn)

Experience with other cloud platforms (Azure, GCP)

Familiarity with event-driven architectures and message queuing systems (SQS, SNS, Kafka)

Experience with monitoring and observability tools (CloudWatch, Datadog, New Relic)

Knowledge of security best practices and compliance standards

Experience with agile development methodologies

AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, Developer Associate, or higher)

Contributions to open-source projects
