As a Senior Frontend Engineer on our Website team, you will build and own the public face of NEXT Insurance. You will be responsible for creating seamless digital experiences, driving business growth, and optimizing our web presence for millions of small business owners across the US.

This role sits at the critical intersection of high-scale engineering, product design, and growth marketing. We are looking for someone with deep expertise in React/NextJS, web performance (Core Web Vitals), SEO, and custom marketing integrations who takes pride in crafting fast, accessible, and scalable web applications.

What You’ll Do

Drive Frontend Excellence: Architect, build, and scale high-performance web experiences using React/NextJS and modern frontend standards.

Master Web Performance: Own, monitor, and continuously optimize site speed and Core Web Vitals (LCP, INP, TBT) to ensure outstanding user experience and top-tier SEO performance.

Business-Driven Growth Enablement: Partner closely with Marketing, Product Managers, and Data Analysts to build tools for SEM campaigns, custom tracking, and conversion funnels.: Partner closely with Marketing, Product Managers, and Data Analysts to build tools for SEM campaigns, custom tracking, and conversion funnels.

End-to-End Ownership: Lead features across the entire lifecycle—from technical scoping and design to implementation, automated testing, deployment, and post-launch monitoring.

Architecture & Tooling: Evolve our CMS architecture, design systems, and frontend toolchains, keeping team productivity and system health high.

Raise the Bar: Maintain high code quality, advocate for best practices in automated testing, and mentor fellow team members.

What We Need

Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience in a full-stack/frontend high-scale production web environment.

Core Tech Stack: Advanced proficiency in React (or modern JS frameworks), TypeScript/JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, Git, and integrating SDKs & APIs.

Performance & SEO Focus: Proven experience optimizing Core Web Vitals, web performance tuning, and implementing technical SEO strategies.

Backend & CMS Knowledge: Familiarity with backend/server concepts, data structuring, modern CMS architecture, and self-service concepts

Software Quality Advocate: Strong experience with automated testing frameworks (Unit, Integration, E2E) with a belief that quality is non-negotiable.

DevOps & Infrastructure Awareness: Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and familiarity with cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Jenkins, Terraform).

Agentic Development (Must Have): Mandatory hands-on experience in AI-assisted agentic development workflows, utilizing AI coding assistants like Cursor and Claude to drive engineering velocity and code quality.

Mindset: A strong team player with high ownership, self-learning capabilities, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Education: B.Sc. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
