Finance Transformation Programme Manager

We are seeking an experienced Finance Transformation Programme Manager to lead the next phase of a large-scale finance transformation journey. This is a senior programme delivery role responsible for translating strategic objectives into a structured, well-governed roadmap of initiatives that deliver measurable business value across finance, technology, data and process improvement.
Working at the intersection of programme delivery and organisational change, you will drive the successful execution of multiple transformation workstreams, ensuring that new processes, systems, and ways of working are effectively adopted across the finance function. This role requires a strong blend of finance expertise, transformation leadership, stakeholder management, and change management capability.
This is an initial 18 month contract role and operates on a hybrid working model requiring 4 days per week onsite in North Dublin.
Key responsibilities & duties include:
Own and maintain the Finance Transformation roadmap, translating strategic priorities into a sequenced and governed programme of initiatives
Lead end-to-end delivery of complex finance transformation workstreams, from business case development through design, implementation, deployment, and benefits realisation
Establish and manage programme governance, including programme plans, RAID logs, milestone tracking, benefits tracking, and executive reporting
Manage programme budgets, resource allocation, dependencies, risks, and delivery timelines
Drive process improvement initiatives across the finance function, identifying opportunities for optimisation, automation, and efficiency gains
Evaluate emerging technologies and build business cases for inclusion within the transformation roadmap
Lead change management activities including stakeholder analysis, impact assessments, communications, training, and adoption strategies
Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships across finance leadership, executive teams, technology functions, and wider business units
Facilitate steering committees, workshops, prioritisation forums, and key decision-making sessions
Ensure alignment across multiple programme workstreams, proactively resolving cross-functional risks and blockers
Define, track and report on programme benefits, ensuring clear linkage between transformation initiatives and financial outcomes
Champion the adoption of finance technologies, data-driven decision making, and continuous improvement practices across the organisation
Work closely with finance, technology, HR, data and other business functions to ensure successful delivery of cross-functional transformation initiatives
Support the design and evolution of finance operating models, organisational structures, processes, systems and data capabilities
Lead finance process mapping, future-state design and target operating model development to support ongoing transformation objectives
Required Experience:
Strong finance transformation background with deep understanding of end-to-end finance processes, finance operating models, month-end activities, governance and controls
Comfortable operating within finance functions and speaking the language of finance
Proven experience delivering large-scale, multi-workstream finance transformation programmes from business case through to benefits realisation
Strong programme management experience, ideally supported by qualifications such as Prince2, PMI, APM, or equivalent
Demonstrated experience leading structured change management initiatives within large transformation programmes
Experience delivering continuous improvement and process optimisation projects within finance environments
Experience supporting or leading finance-focused SAP transformation programmes, ideally with responsibility for post-implementation optimisation, process redesign, adoption and benefits realisation
Experience working across multiple business workstreams including Finance, Technology, HR, Data & Analytics, and other business functions
Strong understanding of programme governance, benefits realisation, risk management and executive reporting
Experience managing senior stakeholders and executive leadership teams
Exposure to process mining tools such as Celonis, SAP Signavio, or similar
Excellent communication, facilitation, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Strong understanding of business process improvement, systems implementation, and operational controls
Experience mapping business processes, systems landscapes, data flows and target operating models
Strong understanding of enterprise finance platforms, planning systems, reporting solutions and associated data ecosystems
Desirable Experience:
Tableau and/or PowerBI certified
Experience with Databricks and dimensional data modelling
Experience working with SAP, enterprise planning and analytics platforms, and finance reporting technologies
Exposure to AI-enabled finance, analytics, automation, or decision-support capabilities within finance transformation programmes
Experience helping finance functions become more data-driven through the adoption of modern data and analytics platforms
