💼 About the role

As a core member of our Finance team, you will play a vital role in keeping our day-to-day financial operations running seamlessly. Working closely with teams across the business, you will support key financial processes, maintain impeccable records, and help drive efficiency.

⚒️ What you’ll be doing

Accounts Payable: Process supplier invoices (ensuring accurate coding and prompt approval), manage the AP inbox, resolve supplier queries, and raise ad hoc purchase orders.

Payments & Expenses: Review employee expense claims against company policy, prepare regular payment runs, and arrange ad hoc payments as needed.

Reconciliations: Perform bank reconciliations across multiple currency accounts and assist with key balance sheet reconciliations (including prepayments and the fixed asset register).

Invoicing: Prepare and draft customer invoices for review.

Month-End & Year-End: Play an active role in close activities and support the preparation and submission of VAT returns.

Audit Support: Assist with audit preparation by compiling schedules, reconciliations, and necessary supporting documentation.

Continuous Improvement: Help identify opportunities to streamline processes and contribute to ad hoc finance projects, reporting, and analysis.

🎯 Required Skills And Qualifications

Education: A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business discipline.

Experience: A minimum of one year of experience in a finance role (highly successful university placement years and internships are fully considered).

Technical Knowledge: A solid foundational understanding of core accounting principles.

Mindset: Proactive, autonomous, and highly organised with exceptional time management skills.

Execution: Driven by high attention to detail and a proven ability to meet strict deadlines.

Ambition: A strong desire to qualify as a chartered accountant (ACCA or ACA).

Excel: Strong proficiency is essential. Intermediate skills are highly preferable, specifically the ability to confidently use Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs (or equivalent formulas like XLOOKUP).
