West Monroe is seeking an Experienced Consultant to join our Banking practice, helping financial services organizations address business and technology challenges across commercial lending, treasury management, risk and regulatory compliance, and transformation. In this role, you will contribute to client workstreams, translate business needs into practical solutions, and support operating model, process, technology, data, analytics, and change initiatives. You will work collaboratively with client and West Monroe teams while building your financial services expertise and consulting capabilities. These responsibilities align with West Monroe’s Experienced Consultant / Level 2 expectations, including independently driving deliverables, identifying risks, understanding client needs, and serving as a knowledge resource for peers.

What You Will Do

Support client engagements across commercial lending, treasury management, risk and regulatory compliance, M&A, and related banking transformation initiatives.

Gather and document business requirements, map processes, conduct gap analyses, and support solution design, testing, implementation, and change management.

Apply knowledge of commercial banking processes and technology to help clients improve operations, optimize processes, and implement business and technology solutions.

Independently drive assigned deliverables to completion, maintaining attention to detail and communicating risks, issues, and dependencies.

Collaborate with client stakeholders and project teams to understand business needs and articulate the value of recommended solutions.

Contribute to client and industry research, proposals, practice initiatives, and the development of reusable tools and methodologies.

Leverage AI tools to accelerate analysis, synthesize complex information, and support data-driven recommendations for clients, exercising sound judgment in evaluating outputs.

Apply AI technologies (e.g., generative AI, automation tools, data models) to enhance insights, improve delivery efficiency, and elevate the quality of client outcomes.

What You Will Bring

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

1–3+ years of combined financial services industry and professional services consulting experience, including client delivery.

Experience in commercial lending, treasury management, and/or risk and regulatory compliance; experience with top 25 or large regional banks is preferred.

Experience with business process mapping, requirements development, gap analysis, change management, project management, regulatory compliance, risk management, SDLC, system implementation, testing, and/or Agile or Waterfall methodologies.

Exposure to banking platforms such as nCino, Moody’s CreditLens, Baker Hill NextGen, Sageworks, FIS, Fiserv, Jack Henry, Salesforce, or Microsoft Dynamics is preferred.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.

Experience with emerging technologies related to data, AI, and machine learning.

Experience integrating AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT) into day-to-day workflows to enhance productivity and insight generation, coupled with strong critical thinking to assess accuracy, mitigate bias, and ensure high-quality outputs.

Ability to travel 25 to 50%.

Based on pay transparency guidelines, the salary range for this role can vary based on your proximity to one of our West Monroe offices (see table below). Individual salaries are determined by evaluating a variety of factors including geography, experience, skills, education, and internal equity.
