This role is instrumental in expanding our healthcare provider presence, delivering innovative data-driven consulting solutions, and building executive relationships with health systems, physician organizations, and other provider organizations. What You'll Do
Client Delivery
Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leaders across health systems, integrated delivery networks, physician groups, and other provider organizations.
Lead complex consulting engagements focused on provider transformation, data strategy, analytics, and technology-enabled operational improvement.
Deliver thought leadership and innovative solutions that address provider challenges across clinical, financial, operational, and digital domains.
Oversee project teams to ensure quality delivery, budget management, and successful client outcomes.
Serve as the executive escalation point for critical client issues and provide strategic recommendations to drive measurable business value.
Provide expertise in enterprise data strategy, governance, interoperability, analytics, and modern cloud data platforms including Databricks, Snowflake, and similar technologies.
Guide clients in adopting AI, automation, and advanced analytics to improve decision-making, operational efficiency, and patient outcomes.
Leverage AI tools to accelerate analysis, synthesize complex information, and support data-driven recommendations for clients, exercising sound judgment in evaluating outputs.
Apply AI technologies (e.g., generative AI, automation tools, data models) to enhance insights, improve delivery efficiency, and elevate the quality of client outcomes.
Business Development
Build and expand executive relationships with healthcare provider organizations.
Develop new business opportunities through networking, industry relationships, and strategic account development.
Lead pursuits from opportunity identification through proposal development, executive presentations, and contract negotiations.
Partner with Business Development, Alliance, and Marketing teams to execute strategic growth initiatives.
Represent West Monroe through thought leadership, speaking engagements, and participation in healthcare industry events.
Practice Development
Collaborate with Healthcare leadership to grow the Provider practice in alignment with local and national priorities.
Develop methodologies, assets, and go-to-market offerings focused on provider data, analytics, AI, and digital transformation.
Mentor consultants and emerging leaders while fostering a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing culture.
Recruit, coach, and develop talent across the Healthcare practice.
Contribute to thought leadership, internal knowledge sharing, and innovation initiatives that strengthen West Monroe's Healthcare capabilities.
What You'll Bring
Experience: 10+ years of management consulting or professional services experience, with significant experience serving healthcare provider organizations.
Provider Industry Expertise:
Deep understanding of health systems, physician organizations, academic medical centers, and provider operations.
Experience with provider data strategies, enterprise analytics, interoperability, population health, revenue cycle, clinical operations, or digital transformation initiatives.
Proven ability to define and implement enterprise data strategies that leverage disparate data sources to improve operational and clinical performance.
Hands-on experience with modern data platforms, their architecture stack and product portfolio with an emphasis on technologies such as Databricks, Snowflake, or similar technologies supporting advanced analytics and AI.
Hands-on experience with hyperscaler capabilities and architecture (Azure, AWS Bedrock, GCP Big Query, etc.) and how they can be leveraged for AI enablement
Familiarity with deploying AI, automation, and advanced analytics to optimize healthcare workflows and improve decision-making.
Strong proficiency in understanding the capabilities and constraints of EMRs including their product roadmap & timeline and an emphasis on Epic. A plus would also include working knowledge of Meditech, Allscripts, and Cerner/Oracle.
Leadership: Demonstrated success leading complex consulting engagements while developing trusted executive relationships.
Business Development: Proven track record of originating and growing consulting revenue, developing strategic client accounts, and leveraging an established professional network to achieve market growth objectives.
Project Leadership: Expertise in strategic planning, engagement management, risk management, organizational change management, and executive stakeholder alignment.
Communication: Exceptional executive presence with outstanding written, verbal, and presentation skills.
Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree in healthcare, business, informatics, or a related field preferred.
Experience integrating AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT) into day-to-day workflows to enhance productivity and insight generation, coupled with strong critical thinking to assess accuracy, mitigate bias, and ensure high-quality outputs.
Ability to travel 25–50%.

Directors at West Monroe are expected to be in person three days a week. This can include being present at client sites, in the market, or in the office for internal collaboration. There is flexibility and an understanding that schedules ebb and flow, but we believe that when we are together with our people and our clients, we build stronger relationships and are better equipped to sell and deliver value.
Based on pay transparency guidelines, a reasonable expectation for the salary range for this role is listed below. Information on our competitive total rewards package, including our bonus structure and benefits is here. Individual salaries are determined by evaluating a variety of factors including geography, experience, skills, education, and internal equity. Employees in proximity of our Seattle, Washington DC, Los Angeles, New York, and San Francisco offices will have a geographic premium applied to this salary scale.
