Experienced Consultant, Applied AI Value Creation Team
West Monroe is seeking an Experienced Consultant to join our growing Applied AI Value Creation team, based in Costa Rica. We partner with private equity investors and corporate clients to identify, prioritize, and deliver AI-enabled business transformation opportunities that create measurable value.
Our team helps organizations redesign business processes, modernize operating models, and implement practical AI solutions that improve productivity, accelerate growth, reduce costs, and enhance decision-making. We work across the full value creation lifecycle—from opportunity assessment and strategy through implementation and value realization. In this role, you will combine data, analytics, business acumen, and AI-enabled tools to develop a holistic view of retail and industrial businesses, identify value creation opportunities, and work collaboratively with U.S.-based project teams and clients to deliver results.
What You Will Do
Analyze financial, operational, customer, and market data using a hypothesis-driven approach to identify revenue growth, cost management, productivity, and performance improvement opportunities.
Develop structured analytical frameworks to solve complex, unstructured business problems and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
Assess business processes and operating models to identify opportunities where AI, automation, and analytics can create measurable value.
Synthesize quantitative and qualitative insights, including stakeholder perspectives, into clear recommendations and executive-level materials.
Collaborate with internal teams and client stakeholders to drive deliverables to completion and support implementation and value realization.
Identify and communicate project risks, issues, and key findings while maintaining strong attention to detail and quality.
Leverage AI tools to accelerate analysis, synthesize complex information, and support data-driven recommendations for clients, exercising sound judgment in evaluating outputs.
Apply AI technologies (e.g., generative AI, automation tools, data models) to enhance insights, improve delivery efficiency, and elevate the quality of client outcomes.
What You Will Bring
Experience analyzing complex data sets through a hypothesis-driven approach to generate insights and support decision-making.
Demonstrated critical thinking and ability to develop novel frameworks for solving unstructured business problems.
Ability to synthesize insights from multiple sources and communicate concise recommendations to executive audiences.
Fundamental understanding of key financial statements and strong overall business acumen.
High proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Experience with analytical tools or coding languages such as Alteryx, SQL, R, or Python preferred.
Strong written and verbal communication skills and knowledge of project planning and delivery methodologies.
Ability to collaborate effectively with clients, cross-functional stakeholders, and remote U.S.-based project teams.
Experience integrating AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT) into day-to-day workflows to enhance productivity and insight generation, coupled with strong critical thinking to assess accuracy, mitigate bias, and ensure high-quality outputs.
