Title: Equity Administrator

Reports to: Chief Legal Officer

Location: Remote US

Compensation Range: $145,000-$160,000 base plus bonus and equity

What You'll Do:

You are the person who makes equity administration dependable from grant approval through an employee’s final transaction. You care about getting the details right, but you also understand that the work is about more than records. It is about giving people clear answers about something that matters to them. You are Outcome-Obsessed, measuring your impact by accurate records, smooth transactions, and a program people can trust.

You will work across Legal, Finance, People, payroll, and company leadership to keep the equity program moving as Huntress grows. You Give a $h*t by spotting gaps before they become problems, improving the process instead of working around it, and taking ownership when the answer is not obvious.

Responsibilities:

Maintain the cap table and equity award records in Carta, including grants, vesting, exercises, cancellations, and employee departures.

Coordinate grant approvals, documentation, and transaction workflows with Legal, Finance, People, payroll, and company leadership.

Reconcile Carta records against approved grants, payroll data, and accounting records, then investigate and resolve discrepancies.

Support equity-related reporting, audits, valuations, board materials, and other time-sensitive company needs.

Answer employee questions about equity awards and transactions with clarity, discretion, and sound judgment.

Build and maintain clear procedures, controls, and process improvements as the equity program grows.

Use AI tools to work faster and smarter on routine drafting, research, and record review while protecting confidential information and applying good judgment.

What You Bring to the Team:

You have direct, hands-on experience administering an equity program in Carta, including managing awards and maintaining accurate cap table records.

You understand stock options and other equity awards, employee lifecycle events, and the reporting required to support a private company.

You have experience reconciling equity records against payroll, accounting, and approved transaction data, and you know how to resolve discrepancies with care.

You bring exceptional attention to detail and discretion when working with sensitive financial, legal, and employee information.

You can explain complex equity topics clearly to employees and partners who may not work with equity programs every day.

You have a track record of working effectively across Legal, Finance, People, payroll, and leadership teams.

You use AI with good judgment to improve the speed and clarity of your day-to-day work while protecting sensitive data.
