Engineering Support Specialist II
Position Overview
Woolpert is seeking an Engineering Support Specialist to join our dynamic Energy Civil Engineering Site Development Team.
This position is responsible for supporting engineers by researching, compiling, and editing site-specific information, project and meeting documentation, permitting packages, and technical reports. The ideal candidate will possess strong written and verbal communication skills, exceptional organizational abilities, and a genuine interest in civil engineering, construction, or related technical industries.

What You Will Do
Work as part of Woolpert's industry-leading Energy Engineering team.
Assist engineers in researching, compiling, and editing:
Site-specific information
Project and meeting notes
Permitting packages
Technical reports and deliverables
Support the preparation of proposals and change orders by:
Compiling information provided by project leads
Editing documents for clarity, consistency, and accuracy
Enter project-specific information and labor projections into Microsoft 365 applications.
Generate reports and spreadsheets, update labor hour information, and assist with uploading data into accounting and project management systems.
Audit project documents, file structures, and project records to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
Work closely with engineering staff to identify and correct documentation and process issues.
Take ownership of assigned tasks, provide recommendations, and proactively solve problems with minimal supervision.
Collaborate across teams to support project management activities, program-wide systems, client deliverables, and continuous process improvements.
Contribute to the ongoing growth and evolution of the Energy Site Development team.

Required Qualifications
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong technical writing, editing, and proofreading abilities.
Interest in civil engineering, earth sciences, construction, or related industries.
Ability to work effectively with engineers and technical professionals to gather and organize information.
Familiarity with basic business and project management concepts.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent time management, organization, and prioritization skills.
Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines simultaneously.
Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience supporting engineering, construction, environmental, energy, or technical consulting projects.
Experience working with project documentation, permitting packages, technical reports, or project controls.
Advanced Excel and reporting skills.
Familiarity with project accounting, labor forecasting, or project management systems.

Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
Pay Range
$24.57—$36.88 USD
