Position Overview

Woolpert is hiring an Interior Designer to join our Interiors Discipline supporting our dynamic Hospitality practice.  This position reports to the Interiors Discipline Team Leader and will play a key role in the design, planning, and delivery of distinctive hospitality environments, including hotels, resorts, restaurants, lounges, clubs, and other guest-focused spaces. This role includes developing design concepts, space plans, material palettes, custom furnishings, and high-quality visualizations that support the client’s brand, operational goals, and desired guest experience.

You will produce coordinated design documentation and collaborate closely with architects, project managers, consultants, contractors, vendors, and fabricators to deliver integrated hospitality solutions. The position requires advanced knowledge of hospitality planning, programming, accessibility, life-safety requirements, finish specifications, lighting coordination, millwork detailing, and FF&E.

You will serve as a trusted design and technical resource throughout all project phases, from concept development and design presentations through documentation, procurement coordination, construction administration, installation, and project closeout. Responsibilities include preparing client presentations, developing finish and furniture specifications, reviewing submittals and shop drawings, responding to requests for information, conducting site observations, and supporting punch-list and installation activities.

You will lead significant portions of complex hospitality projects and provide day-to-day guidance to junior interior designers. This includes supporting their design development, technical execution, presentation skills, material research, and understanding of firm standards and hospitality best practices. The role contributes to design and technical standards, quality control, cross-disciplinary coordination, and the consistent delivery of brand-aligned guest experiences.

This position is ideal for a technically skilled and creatively driven interior designer who can balance memorable design with operational performance, values collaboration, and is ready to grow as an emerging hospitality design leader within the firm.
