EMEA Lead – Sales Engineering
About the role
As the EMEA Lead – Sales Engineering, you'll lead and grow DevRev's Sales Engineering team across EMEA. It's a hands-on leadership role, you'll directly manage a distributed team of SEs across multiple markets and time zones, while personally partnering with Sales leadership on the region's most strategic opportunities.
You'll set the bar for a high-quality technical experience across the customer journey — blending technical depth with storytelling across demos, evaluations, and proposals, in close collaboration with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Customer Success.
What you'll do
Hire, coach, and grow a distributed team of Sales Engineers across multiple EMEA markets — owning recruiting, ramping, goal-setting, reviews, and career development.
Manage team capacity and coverage — allocating SE resources across deals, markets, and time zones, and representing SE in regional Sales leadership and forecasting.
Own SE strategy and execution across EMEA, partnering with Sales leadership on pipeline growth and revenue targets.
Act as the senior technical leader on strategic, complex enterprise deals — from discovery through demos, PoCs, and proposals.
Enable partners, resellers, and sales teams through workshops, certifications, and competitive positioning.
Build reusable SE assets and best practices — playbooks, demos, guides — and partner with Product and Engineering to influence the roadmap.
What you'll bring
10+ years in Sales / Solutions Engineering (ideally B2B SaaS), with enterprise customers.
Proven experience directly managing a distributed SE / technical pre-sales team — hiring, performance management, coaching, and retention.
Track record of building and scaling teams, and developing individual contributors into high performers.
Experience across multiple EMEA markets; fluent business English.
Excellent storytelling and discovery skills; familiar with Command of the Message / MEDDICC.
Technical knowledge
AI tooling & aptitude — hands-on with AI tools, models, and AI harnesses; prompt design, code-assist tools, and agentic use cases; able to reason about model selection, evaluation, and orchestration.
GenAI / LLM workflows — building and demoing LLM-based solutions such as chatbots, ticket deflection, and AI assistants.
Core customer technologies — working knowledge across CRM, ITSM, and CX platforms (e.g. Salesforce, ServiceNow, Zendesk) and how they connect in an enterprise stack.
APIs & integrations — consuming REST APIs and webhooks, tools such as Postman, and configuring integrations across systems.
Cloud, data & scripting — familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP; basic SQL; and working knowledge of Python or JavaScript / TypeScript.
Dev tooling — exposure to Jira, GitHub, and modern SaaS / DevOps stacks.
Nice to have: additional European languages; a CS/Engineering degree or equivalent practical experience.
