About the Role

As data becomes the backbone of digital business and AI-driven decision-making, resilience, security, and trust are critical to customer success. The Director, Enterprise Systems Engineering leads a team of Enterprise Systems Engineers supporting strategic enterprise accounts, driving technical excellence, execution consistency, and customer outcomes. This role serves as a key connector across Sales, Systems Engineering, Specialists, Alliances, Product, and Customer stakeholders to ensure every strategic opportunity is backed by a unified technical and go-to-market strategy. You'll play a pivotal role in helping enterprise organizations navigate cyber resilience, cloud adoption, data security, and AI readiness while accelerating Veeam's growth in the enterprise market.

What You’ll Do

Lead and develop a high-performing team of Enterprise Systems Engineers supporting strategic enterprise customers.

Align Field Sales, Systems Engineers, Specialists, and customer technical stakeholders around a unified technical and go-to-market plan.

Drive technical strategy and execution across data resilience, cyber recovery, cloud, security, and AI-driven initiatives.

Partner with Sales, Alliances, Product, Engineering, and Marketing leaders to influence strategy and execution.

Represent Veeam in executive customer, partner, and internal engagements while driving operational excellence and business outcomes.

What You’ll Bring

15+ years of experience in pre-sales engineering, solutions architecture, or enterprise technology leadership roles.

8+ years of experience leading managers or senior technical professionals in customer-facing environments.

Proven success influencing outcomes across complex enterprise accounts and highly matrixed organizations.

Strong expertise in enterprise infrastructure, data platforms, security, cyber resilience, and cloud architectures.

Executive-level communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

Bonus Skills

Experience leading large-scale enterprise technical sales organizations.

Deep understanding of AI readiness, data governance, and regulatory compliance challenges.

Knowledge of DSPM, data security, privacy, and risk management frameworks.

Experience developing repeatable go-to-market and technical engagement strategies.

Strong relationships within enterprise customer, partner, and alliance ecosystems.

Compensation Transparency

Veeam is committed to pay transparency and equitable compensation. For this role, the compensation range below reflects the expected total target compensation (TTC), inclusive of base pay and a competitive performance-based bonus. For roles with a commission plan, the compensation range represents On Target Earnings (OTE), which includes base salary plus variable commission. When determining compensation, Veeam takes into consideration factors such as experience, education, skills, and geographic zone. Offers are typically made below the midpoint of the range.

In addition to compensation, Veeam provides a comprehensive benefits package, including health coverage, retirement plans, and unlimited time off.

$302,900—$562,600 USD

Zone 2: Washington, California (excluding San Francisco Bay Area)

$277,700—$515,800 USD

Zone 3: Texas, Illinois, North Carolina, Colorado, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Oregon, Nevada, Hawaii, New York (excluding NYC boroughs); Sales roles located in Georgia, Ohio, and Arizona

$252,500—$468,800 USD

Zone 4: All other US locations

$219,600—$407,900 USD
