Director of Product Marketing

Modern Health | Reports to VP, Product Marketing

About Modern Health

Modern Health is the leading global mental health solution serving enterprise clients and 2M+ members across 200+ countries and territories. Our Adaptive Care Model is our most important differentiator: a science-backed, whole-population, whole person approach that proactively supports the 80% of employees before they reach a breaking point, while delivering fast, high-quality care for those with acute needs. We don't just bolt on capabilities, we built a fundamentally different model, and we're looking for a marketer who can help bring this and other differentiators to life driving client acquisition and satisfaction.

The Role

Product Marketing at Modern Health is the connective tissue between Service Delivery (Product, Clinical, Care, Ops, Member Engagement) and Revenue (Sales, Client Success, Marketing). We are the source of truth for how Modern Health talks about its services and solutions externally: to employers, brokers, consultants, and members in a way that is clear, compelling, and consistent yet tailored to each of our unique clients needs. We're looking for a Director of Product Marketing who leads with a point of view. This is not a role for someone who reacts to the product roadmap. It's for someone who shapes the market narrative, brings conviction to positioning decisions, and ensures every asset, launch, and sales interaction tells a coherent, differentiated story that lines up with our market positioning.

Enablement does not report into this role but the quality of what this person builds will determine how effective every seller, CM, and partner is in the field through the strategy, rollout prowess, and materials created.

What You'll Own:

Point of View & Market Narrative

Develop and defend Modern Health's POV on workplace mental health grounded in clinical evidence, employer buying trends, and competitive dynamics.

Translate the Adaptive Care Model, the 20-60-20 framework, and our care philosophy into a crisp, ownable story that breaks through market noise.

Partner with product leadership, clinical leadership, CCO, and executives to develop buyer-facing narratives that open doors in the market.

Serve as an internal ambassador and steward of positioning consistency ensuring Sales, CS, Marketing, and PR all speak from the same foundation.

Position us boldly in market centered around our differentiators

Positioning & Messaging

Own the positioning brief development process across the full product and service portfolio.

Lead structured messaging development for both B2B (HR/Benefits buyers, consultants, brokers) and B2C (member-facing) audiences.

Drive competitive differentiation developing positioning angles that exploit competitor weaknesses while reinforcing Modern Health's distinct adaptive care approach.

Maintain and refresh messaging frameworks in response to market signals, competitive pressure, and roadmap changes.

Partner with Finance, Product, and GTM Leadership on pricing and packaging positioning, ensuring commercial models are communicated with clarity and conviction.

Rollout Excellence

Lead GTM planning and rollout execution for new products, services, and pilots from discovery through promotion and onboarded client lifecycle.

Own the full launch lifecycle: Primer docs → Positioning Briefs → GTM Distribution Plans → internal launch coordination → external asset rollout.

Categorize and scope launches by level of PMM involvement (Light / Medium / High), ensuring appropriate resourcing and sequencing.

Coordinate with Product, Clinical, Ops, Legal/Compliance, and Revenue teams to align on timing, messaging approval, and stakeholder readiness before any launch goes live.

Drive "What's New at Modern Health" communications and webinar-style rollout moments with GTM audiences.

Sales Assets (Non-Enablement)

Own the creation and maintenance of sales-facing marketing assets: pitch decks, one-pagers, competitive battlecards, positioning cheat sheets, demo talk tracks, solution overviews, and RFP-ready content.

Develop segment-specific and vertical-specific positioning assets that give Sales the tools to run differentiated, informed conversations.

Build and maintain objection-handling frameworks grounded in actual win/loss and competitive intelligence.

Partner with the Solutions Hub and GTM Asset Library strategy to ensure materials are current, accessible, and adopted.

BONUS: Solution Packaging & Architecture

Lead positioning for Modern Health's solution tiers and packages

Define how we talk about "what's in the box" across buyer personas  articulating trade-offs, upgrade paths, and bundle value clearly.

Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Finance, and GTM Leadership to ensure packaging is commercially viable, compliantly positioned, and consistently communicated in market.

Drive naming, framing, and GTM readiness for new service categories and solution expansions.

Build strong working relationships with Product, Clinical, Sales, CM, and Communications as a respected strategic partner  not just a service provider.

What We're Looking For / Requirements:

8+ years of product marketing experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.

Proven track record owning positioning and messaging for a complex, multi-product B2B solution in health tech or HR benefits.

3+ years experience working in Health Tech, Health Care, or HR Benefits environments.

A natural storyteller with strong POV: someone who can write a compelling positioning brief, defend a messaging decision in a room of skeptics, and cut through internal politics to drive clarity.

Deep fluency in GTM launch processes you've run the full lifecycle multiple times and can coach the company through it.

Experience developing sales-facing materials that actually get used and drive sales: battlecards, pitch decks, one-pagers, and frameworks that resonate with sophisticated buyers (consultants, HR leaders, CFOs).

Ability to distill complex clinical, technical, or data-driven content into buyer-relevant narratives without losing nuance.

Sharp competitive instincts you track the market, understand competitor positioning, and know how to use it.

Collaborative, direct, and structured communicator who can align stakeholders across Product, Sales, Care, and Executive leadership.

Immigration sponsorship is not available for this position. Applicants must be able to maintain work authorization for the duration of employment without employer sponsorship or employer-provided training plans or attestations (including, for example, the Form I-983 required for STEM OPT).

Why This Role, Why Now:

Modern Health has a genuinely differentiated story: an Adaptive Care Model built for whole-population engagement, an elite global provider network, and an ROI record that holds up under scrutiny. What this moment requires is a marketer who can make that story impossible to ignore. If you've been waiting for a chance to build something real, this is it.
