Digital Growth Manager
Overview:
At Verkada, we push traditional boundaries, and our B2B growth efforts are no exception. We’re looking for a Digital Growth Manager to own the growth thesis and pipeline outcomes for a set of our most strategic segments and verticals.
Reporting to the Director of Digital Marketing, you'll be one of the seasoned operators on the team — the person who decides where we play, sets the strategy, and is accountable for whether it works. This is a player-coach role: you'll define the campaign roadmap for your segments, allocate budget across channels, and set the bar for how the team briefs, tests, and measures — and you'll personally run your highest-leverage campaigns end-to-end. You lead by doing the work at the standard you expect from everyone else, not by handing it off. You'll partner as a peer with Product Marketing, Sales, and Creative leadership, and you'll develop the team who ship alongside you.
Please note that this role is on-site at HQ in San Mateo, CA.
Key Responsibilities
Own the Pipeline Number: Carry the pipeline and acquisition target for your segments. You own the outcome — not just the campaigns that feed it — and you make the calls on what to double down on and what to pull back
Set the Strategy: Build the growth thesis for your verticals from first principles (revenue, business impact, product-market fit). You own the strategy and are accountable for the result — you decide what we do, then ensure it lands.
Run Your Own Plays: This is a hands-on role. You personally own and execute the highest-leverage campaigns in your segments — writing the brief, building in the channels, and reading the results yourself. You're expected to roll up your sleeves and continually push the bar higher
Bets & Prioritization: Come to the table with informed opinions and new bets on where we should invest across paid Search, LinkedIn, Meta, and emerging channels. Budget and quarterly priorities are set collaboratively across the team — you're expected to shape that process with a strong, data-grounded point of view and ideas that raise our standards, not wait to be told where to focus.
Lead Through Influence: On a senior, low-hierarchy team, leadership comes from influence rather than headcount. You'll shape how we — and the wider org — tackle growth problems: bringing ideas to the table, partnering as a peer with Product Marketing, Sales, and Creative leadership to align on where growth investment goes, and raising the bar for the specialists you work alongside through direct feedback and example.
Define How We Measure: Own the metrics framework for your segments — decide what "working" means, and drive the team toward outcomes rather than activity.
Qualifications
6–9 years of experience in B2B marketing, growth, biz ops, strategic consulting, or an equivalent operating role — evaluated on the outcomes you've driven, not pedigree
A track record of ownership: You've owned a pipeline or revenue number, a program, or a channel P&L, and can point to results you're directly accountable for
Strategic judgment: You form a clear point of view on where to invest and why, and you've made the calls — including the hard "no's" — that shaped where a team spent its time and budget
Technical depth: You understand the mechanics of how modern paid channels and the marketing stack (e.g., Marketo, SFDC, attribution) actually work, and you can go as deep as your specialists when it matters
Quantitative fluency: A "math-first" brain. You reason about performance from the data and set the analytical bar for the team
Leadership without ego: You develop people, give direct feedback, and raise the standard of everyone around you. You bring a strong point of view and the credibility to back it
