DevOps Operations Engineer
Axonius is seeking a DevOps Operations Engineer to join our DevOps Production team responsible for driving crucial production operations, releases, and customer deployments across thousands of SaaS and on-premise environments. In this role, you will lead weekly installations, upgrades, and patches while building scripts, tooling, and monitoring systems that directly impact customer success and R&D efficiency.
Responsibilities
Lead operational procedures, deployments, upgrades, and patch deliveries for thousands of SaaS and on-premise customer environments.
Develop scripts and automations (using Python, Bash, or Go) to enhance operational efficiency, streamline releases, and empower R&D development teams.
Monitor system processes, troubleshoot production incidents, and collaborate with R&D on incident management and post-incident improvements.
Participate in on-call rotations to support production incidents and in deployment efforts to ensure uninterrupted operational continuity and system health.
Minimum Qualifications
2+ years of hands-on experience in Linux system administration across major distributions (e.g., Ubuntu, RedHat, CentOS).
Demonstrated experience with containerized environments using Docker and Docker Compose, alongside version control using Git.
Practical hands-on programming/scripting experience in Python, Bash, or Go, combined with cloud platform exposure (e.g., AWS EC2, S3, ECR).
Practical experience with monitoring and observability systems such as Coralogix, Grafana, or Prometheus.
Practical experience leveraging AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude) to accelerate shell/Python scripting, log analysis, and operational troubleshooting.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with configuration management and continuous integration tools such as Ansible, AWX, or GitHub Actions.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
Proven track record in release management, software delivery pipelines, or managing customer-facing production infrastructures.
Background supporting Linux images/hosts within SaaS environments or military technology units.
Ability to work flexibly during high-volume deployment cycles.
