Deputy General Manager, Agentic AI
About Us
Red Cell Federal (“RC Federal”) is the public sector growth company created by Red Cell Partners to build a new category of national security company—one that fields AI-powered, mission-ready capabilities for the U.S. government. We align technological innovation with real-world mission demands. RC Federal is built to scale into an enduring platform that turns complex government needs into repeatable, high-impact solutions. We are remote-first, and occasional travel will only be centered on high-leverage moments with clients or our team.
Mandate
The Deputy General Manager, Agentic AI works alongside the General Manager to explore new use cases, advance promising opportunities, and execute priority projects across the Agentic AI business. The portfolio consists of licensed products built on Trase OS and developed via Arena and the SDK—not Trase itself, but what we build, license, and sell on top of it.
This is a hands-on role for a versatile professional who can rapidly bring structure to ambiguous problems and drive outcomes across technical, commercial, and operational teams. You will be a utility player with room to grow: investigating a mission need, shaping a potential solution, coordinating a pilot, or stepping into a delivery challenge as priorities require.
Your scope will be defined with the GM and may vary by project. You will own some initiatives directly, execute others on the GM’s behalf, and transition work to strategy, sales, product, engineering, or delivery teams when appropriate. The GM retains overall accountability for the business and its operating P&L; you help turn priorities into concrete progress.
Core Responsibilities
Use-Case Exploration and Development
Investigate government mission needs and workflows to identify practical applications for agentic AI.
Turn broad ideas into clear problem statements, use-case briefs, and proposed next steps, including key assumptions, dependencies, and open questions.
Work with product and engineering teams to assess feasibility and determine what is needed to test a concept.
Gather evidence and quantify possible impact to help the GM decide which ideas to advance, refine, hand off, or stop.
Cross-Functional Coordination and Handoffs
Work with strategy to help identify potential customers, validate demand, and assess where an emerging use case could gain traction.
Coordinate with sales, product, engineering, and delivery teams to connect mission needs with a path to execution; support proposals or other capture activities as needed.
Prepare useful handoffs that capture the problem, work completed, supporting evidence, unresolved questions, and recommended next steps.
Establish clear ownership at transitions and stay involved as needed to maintain momentum or troubleshoot through delivery.
Project Execution
Own defined projects or workstreams, with objectives, decision authority, and deliverables agreed with the GM.
Build practical work plans, coordinate contributors, track milestones, and surface risks or decisions early.
Support pilots, prototypes, and customer engagements, including preparation, follow-through, and coordination of next steps.
Step directly into execution when that is the fastest way to deliver a result.
Business and Operational Support
Prepare concise analyses, decision briefs, and status updates for the GM and other senior-level stakeholders.
Track project progress, resource needs, costs, and outcomes to support prioritization and business decisions.
Translate lessons from individual projects into reusable approaches where useful.
Take on special projects across Agentic AI and broader RC Federal priorities as needed.
Qualifications
At least 3 to 5 years of relevant experience across operations, strategy, consulting, product or program management, technology deployment, or a combination of these areas.
Bachelors degree in applicable areas such as computer sciences, information technology, political science, and others
At least 1 year working in government directly (civilian or active duty time) or indirectly via a consulting firm.
Demonstrated ability to take an ambiguous problem, rapidly develop a practical approach, and drive work through to completion with a varied team.
Experience coordinating cross-functional projects and influencing contributors without relying on formal authority.
Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills; able to translate complex information into quantified recommendations and actions.
Working fluency in AI and software-enabled solutions, with the ability to engage technical teams and connect capabilities to users. This is not a software engineering role, but working closely with technical teams is required.
Sound judgment about when to act independently, seek a decision, or transition work to another owner.
A hands-on, adaptable approach and willingness to move between research, planning, coordination, and execution.
Familiarity with federal customers, national security missions, or government technology adoption and acquisition.
U.S. government Secret clearance or higher
