The role

We're seeking an experienced Data Engineer to help our team complete the migration of our enterprise data warehouse to Microsoft Fabric. Our data architecture, standards, and framework are already established. We're looking for a hands-on engineer who can quickly integrate with the team, contribute immediately, and help accelerate delivery of our remaining migration work.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on data engineer who can quickly become productive, work effectively within an existing architecture, and help the team successfully complete a data warehouse migration to Microsoft Fabric. Experience working with credit union data and financial systems is highly desirable.

What you’ll do

Develop and support data pipelines, Lakehouse, and Warehouse objects in Microsoft Fabric

Migrate existing data warehouse workloads to Fabric following established architectural standards

Build and optimize ETL/ELT processes, including integrations with APIs, databases, and file-based sources

Develop data transformations, validation processes, and curated reporting datasets

Assist with testing, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and production readiness

Collaborate with our data architect, BI developers, BI analysts and business stakeholders

Contribute to documentation and knowledge transfer

Required Qualifications

5+ years of data engineering experience

Hands-on Microsoft Fabric experience, including Lakehouse, Warehouse, Data Factory, and OneLake

Strong SQL and data warehousing expertise

Experience designing and supporting ETL/ELT solutions, including API integrations

Experience with dimensional modeling, fact and dimension tables, and data warehouse best practices

Experience working within established data frameworks and architectural standards

Familiarity with Git and Azure DevOps

Strong troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications

Credit union or financial services experience

Experience supporting Power BI and enterprise reporting solutions

Experience working with metadata-driven integration frameworks

Python, Spark, or notebook development experience

Experience with large-scale data warehouse modernization or cloud migration initiatives
