About the role

Anthropic is seeking an experienced Customer Marketer to build out customer stories across the industries building with Claude. Behind every Claude deployment is a story of an organization reimagining how it works. This role tells those stories by finding the verticals where customer evidence matters most, and turning our best examples into the references and announcements that drive adoption.

This isn't a traditional customer marketing role focused solely on case studies. You'll work closely with customers across their journey with Claude — partnering with Sales to find the customers finding value with Claude, building the relationships that turn customer champions into authentic advocates, and working with Communications to land customer milestones as high-impact announcements. Where Claude is newly landing in an industry, you'll build the bench — cultivating early wins into referenceable customers and flagship narratives that open entire verticals.

You'll operate with autonomy and speed, building the playbooks, processes, and frameworks that let customer storytelling scale across industries — and shaping how some of the world's most recognizable companies understand, implement, and champion beneficial AI systems.

Key responsibilities:

Own customer storytelling for a subset of our Industries portfolio, from story identification through creation, approval, and distribution

Identify and prioritize new verticals where customer proof points will accelerate adoption, and build the story pipeline to match

Build a bench of referenceable customers and stories in industries where Claude is newly landing, developing accounts from early wins into flagship narratives

Build and nurture relationships with customer executives and champions to foster authentic advocacy, guiding each story from first conversation through approval and publication

Partner with Sales and account teams to pressure-test storytelling readiness and develop account-level advocacy plans that map each priority customer to the right story, format, and moment

Work closely with Communications to shape and time customer announcements, turning deployment milestones and expansions into coordinated press, content, and social moments

Work closely with our brand and creative team on customer video series, out-of-home campaigns, and other high-visibility creative moments that bring these stories to a broader audience

Minimum qualifications

Excellent written and verbal storytelling abilities, proven through technical customer stories that drove business results

Experience building lasting relationships with technical executives and business leaders at the world's largest enterprises

A track record of guiding customers from early success to public advocacy, navigating stakeholder alignment, approvals, and brand and legal review along the way

Experience partnering with Communications or PR teams to turn customer milestones into announcements and press moments

Track record of creating effective content in multiple formats (text, video, speakers/content for events)

Data-driven approach to measuring and improving program impact

Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high quality standards

Strategic mindset balanced with strong execution capabilities

History of successful collaboration across Sales, Product, and Communications teams

Preferred qualifications

6+ years of experience in customer marketing or customer advocacy, ideally in B2B SaaS or enterprise technology

Experience marketing with or to enterprises in traditional industries — manufacturing, energy, retail, media, travel, or similar — and an instinct for what resonates with buyers beyond the tech sector

Experience standing up customer marketing or advocacy programs in new markets, segments, or verticals from the ground up

Track record of successful customer advisory board (CAB) and executive event programming

Experience building and managing customer loyalty or community programs
