Job Overview

As a Content Strategy Manager, you will be an integral member of the AvidXchange marketing team, helping develop high-impact content and research-driven thought leadership that builds brand authority, engages prospective customers, and supports business objectives.

This role is ideal for a strong writer, editor, and strategic thinker who enjoys turning complex topics, proprietary research, and subject matter expertise into compelling stories. You will lead content projects from idea through publication, partner across marketing and communications, and support select public relations initiatives. The role is primarily focused on long-form content strategy, editorial development, and research-driven thought leadership rather than social media management or technical SEO.

What You’ll Do

Partner with cross-functional teams to develop and execute content strategies and thought leadership programs aligned with marketing priorities, audience needs, and business objectives.

Collaborate with demand generation, digital, brand, public relations, product marketing, and subject matter experts to develop, refine, and amplify content across channels.

Use proprietary survey research, industry trends, and subject matter expertise to develop clear, differentiated narratives and actionable insights for target audiences.

Manage all aspects of content creation, including strategy, research, writing, editing, and production for research-based white papers, eBooks, blog articles, executive thought leadership, case studies, webinars, and other long-form assets.

Use audience insights, performance data, and search best practices to inform content decisions and improve discoverability across traditional and AI-powered search experiences.

Support public relations initiatives as needed, including editing press materials and executive thought leadership, coordinating internal reviews and approvals, and helping maintain consistency across earned and owned content.

What We’re Looking For

Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, marketing or a related field, or equivalent professional experience

Three or more years of experience developing long-form B2B marketing, editorial, or thought leadership content and managing the content process from concept through publication

Experience managing cross-functional projects, multiple stakeholders and competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment, including coordinating feedback and approvals

Excellent writing, editing, communication, and presentation skills, supported by a strong portfolio demonstrating the ability to simplify complex topics, develop compelling narratives, and produce polished long-form content.

Experience working with research, data, subject matter experts, or industry insights to develop authoritative content; experience with survey-based thought leadership is a plus.

Experience in B2B SaaS, fintech or another complex or regulated industry preferred; familiarity with public relations, SEO, and AI-powered search best practices a plus.
