SUMMARY

The Content Author Adobe AEM role is a hands-on position within a global pharmaceutical company, responsible for authoring, updating, and maintaining digital experiences across a global portfolio of websites.

This role focuses on executing content updates within Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), with a strong emphasis on developing and authoring using EDS (Edge Delivery Services). The ideal candidate will ensure content accuracy, consistency, and quality across regions while supporting a unified digital experience for professionals worldwide.

You will partner closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, design, development, analytics, and compliance—to support the delivery of seamless, accessible, and personalized experiences. This role plays a key part in ensuring content is properly structured, reusable, and optimized for global delivery across multiple channels.

Reports to the Practice Area Manager – Agencies Services

PRIMARY DUTIES

Author and update web content within Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), including creation, editing, and publishing of pages.

Develop and maintain web pages using AEM, with a strong focus on EDS (Edge Delivery Services) and modular content structures.

Execute content updates based on business and design requirements using EDS blocks and component-based architecture.

Ensure consistency of digital experiences across global markets by following established content standards, templates, and governance guidelines.

Upload, manage, and organize digital assets within Adobe Digital Asset Manager (DAM), ensuring proper tagging and version control.

Follow AEM and EDS authoring best practices to support high-quality and scalable content delivery.

Troubleshoot and resolve front-end content issues, including formatting, responsiveness, and cross-browser compatibility.

Create and update structured content using Content Fragments to support headless and multi-channel delivery.

Participate in Agile workflows, including sprint planning, estimations, and backlog refinement for content-related tasks.

COMPETENCY

Familiarity with component-based and modular content systems (EDS focus)

Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills

Understanding of UX and information architecture principles

Strong collaboration and communication skills

Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, global environment

REQUIRED EDUCATION

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or related field (or equivalent experience).

EXPERIENCE

3+ years of experience working with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) or similar CMS platforms

Experience authoring and maintaining content across multiple sites or regions

Hands-on experience with EDS (Edge Delivery Services) or similar modern content delivery frameworks preferred

QUALIFICATIONS

Proficiency in AEM authoring, including templates, components, and content fragments

Experience authoring within EDS, including block-based content modeling

Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for troubleshooting and advanced authoring

Basic understanding of SEO, web accessibility (WCAG), and performance best practices

Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud tools (Figma, XD, Photoshop, etc.)

Experience in pharmaceutical or other regulated industries preferred

Exposure to Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Workfront, Jira) preferred

Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Regular use of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment.

Regular, repetitive movements such as typing, mouse movements, and scrolling.

Ability to hear and understand spoken communications in person and via remote tools.

Ability to see and read computer screens for prolonged periods and adjust focus

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Preferably located in Indianapolis, Indiana, and available to be on site, Tuesday-Thursday. If not then the EDT or CDT timezone.

Fast-paced, collaborative, and deadline-driven setting.

EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:

40 hours a week, Standard business hours (e.g., 8:00 AM–5:00 PM or similar) in EDT or CDT.

TRAVEL:

Occasional travel for team meetings or training (if required by organization).
