The role

Nebius is looking for a Colocation Physical Security Manager is responsible for the overall physical security program within one or more colocation datacenter facilities. This role leads security operations, manages contract security personnel, oversees access control and video surveillance systems, ensures compliance with customer and regulatory requirements, and protects critical infrastructure, employees, visitors, and customer assets. The manager serves as the primary security leader for the colocation sites and drives continuous improvement in security readiness, incident response, and operational excellence.

Your responsibilities will include:

Security Operations Management

Lead daily physical security operations across colocation facilities and build relationships with all stakeholders.

Ensure compliance with security standards, policies, and procedures are meeting expectations.

Develop and maintain site security programs and operational controls for colocations and provide support to regional partners as needed.

Manage security service providers, guard force performance ensuring compliance and evaluating standards.

Establish and monitor security KPIs and service level agreements (SLAs) with the colocation provider.

Access Control & Visitor Management

Oversee badge management and access provisioning processes to ensure compliance for Nebius employees and colocation providers.• Ensure proper authorization and auditing of physical access to colocation providers and Nebius owned facilities.

Monitor visitor management programs and contractor access requirements with the colocation providers.

Conduct periodic reviews of access rights and user privileges to ensure no breach of colocations or Nebius owned facilities.

Ensure compliance with customer-specific security requirements and objectives are meeting overall expectations.

Surveillance & Security Systems

Manage CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, and alarm systems of all colocations and work close with the Security Operations Center (SOC) ensuring accurate response times.

Oversee maintenance, upgrades, and testing of security technology of all physical security equipment stored and located in the colocation environment.

Coordinate with IT and facilities teams to support system integrations and upgrades as needed.

Incident Response & Investigations

Lead response to security incidents, breaches, theft, vandalism, and workplace violence concerns.

Conduct investigations and root-cause analyses to a successful outcome and conclusion.

Prepare incident reports and executive summaries of escalated events and ensure colocations provide timely information of site related incidents.

Coordinate and build alliances with law enforcement and emergency responders as required.

Manage crisis communications related to security events which occur in the colocation environment.

Risk Management & Compliance

Perform security risk assessments and vulnerability assessments for potential new sites, conduct persistent audits of existing sites, and communicate findings to the appropriate business stakeholders.• Develop mitigation plans for identified risks for new sites, internal warehousing, and storage of high value items.

Support customer audits and certifications including:

ISO 27001

SOC 1/SOC 2

PCI DSS

NIST-based controls

Maintain security documentation, policies, and evidence repositories.

Team Leadership

Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate third-party security personnel for short- and long-term assignments.

Manage contract security vendors, performance standards, and reporting anomalies.

Conduct security awareness training for newly hired employees, provide updated training to existing employees and train contractors on established rules for physical security

Foster a culture of accountability, promote safety, and provide customer service to employees, guests, and third-party vendors.

Customer & Stakeholder Engagement

Serve as primary point of contact for colocation providers, customers, vendors, and third-party vendors.

Support customer visits, audits, and security reviews as needed.

Collaborate with datacenter operations, EHS, facilities, and compliance teams to ensure the standards are being met and achieved.

Present security metrics and program updates to leadership, as necessary.

Business Continuity & Emergency Management

Support site emergency response planning and working closely with Emergency

Health Services (EHS) personnel to ensure safety of employees, guests, vendors, and third-party vendors.• Assist in security participation in drills and exercises when requested by the

Emergency Health Services (EHS) personnel.

Ensure Business Continuity Planning readiness is prepared by colocation provider regarding natural disasters, power outages, and critical incidents. Contribute to business continuity, resilience programs and ensure employees, guests, vendors, and third-party personnel are aware of these procedures.

We expect you to have:

Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, Security Management, Business

Administration, or related field preferred.

5+ years of physical security experience.

3+ years of management or supervisory experience.

Experience within:

Datacenters

Colocation facilities

Critical infrastructure

Corporate security programs

Military or law enforcement organizations

Strong knowledge of:

Physical access control systems

CCTV platforms

Incident management

Security investigations

Security audits and compliance frameworks

It will be an added bonus if you have:

Experience supporting hyperscale or colocation datacenter environments.

Industry certifications such as:

ASIS Certified Protection Professional (CPP)

ASIS Physical Security Professional (PSP)

Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)

Security+ Certification

Knowledge of:

PCI DSS

NIST Cybersecurity Framework

We offer competitive compensation and benefits packages. Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors, including experience, skills, qualifications, the level at which the candidate is hired, and geographic location, consistent with applicable law.

Base Compensation Range

$107,100—$133,800 USD
