Objective of the Role
Lead strategic procurement and vendor management processes to ensure efficient sourcing, contract execution, and supplier performance across categories. This role enables business continuity, cost optimization, and regulatory compliance by aligning procurement strategies with organizational goals and operational needs.
Main Responsibilities
Develop and execute sourcing strategies for assigned categories, considering market trends, business priorities, and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
Lead negotiations and renegotiations with suppliers to secure optimal commercial terms, service levels, and long-term value.
Analyze spend data and supplier performance to identify opportunities for consolidation, cost reduction, and operational efficiency.
Design and maintain supplier risk matrices to ensure business continuity and mitigate supply risks and potential disruptions.
Monitor contract lifecycles and proactively manage renewals, renegotiations, and compliance checkpoints.
Establish strategic relationships with key suppliers and internal stakeholders to align expectations and foster collaboration.
Define and track KPIs for vendor performance, ensuring accountability and continuous improvement.
Coordinate regular feedback loops with business units to align supplier deliverables and resolve service gaps.
Apply penalties or corrective actions when contractual obligations are not met, ensuring service continuity and value protection.
Ensure adherence to internal procurement policies, external regulations, and audit requirements (e.g., REPSE, CNBV, and Fintech standards).
Maintain standardized vendor files and documentation to support internal and external audits.
Oversee the onboarding and classification of suppliers, including regulated and specialized service providers.
Support purchase order generation and approval workflows, ensuring traceability and compliance.
Collaborate with business units to understand sourcing needs and align procurement strategies with operational goals.
Support the development of business cases and cost models for strategic initiatives.
Provide insights and recommendations to leadership based on supplier performance, market conditions, and risk assessments.
Contribute to the design and execution of contingency plans for supplier-related disruptions.
Required Knowledge and Experience
Education: Bachelor's degree in International Business, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience: 5–8 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or vendor management roles. Experience managing categories such as software, hardware, professional services, or operations. Familiarity with regulated environments and audit processes is a plus.
Proven experience developing and executing IT category sourcing strategies for SaaS, On-Premise Software, PaaS, and IaaS, leveraging market intelligence, aligning with business priorities, and optimizing Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
Strategic sourcing methodologies and contract negotiation.
Spend analysis and supplier performance tracking.
ERP systems and procurement platforms.
KPI design and dashboard reporting.
Fluent in English (oral and written).
