Career TEAM is excited to bring on a RESEA Career Advisor responsible for raising awareness in the community of Workforce programs administered through Workforce Solutions Job Center including the successful recruitment of program participants and educating and informing the general public of Workforce Development and services. The RESEA Career Advisor will work primarily in the community building strategic relationships, conducting a variety of outreach activities, and recruiting program participants. The successful candidate must have an understanding of the local community and its diverse population, culture, and resources.  This is an on-site position, working closely with the Program Director and Marketing Department.

Your Impact on Career TEAM’s Success:

Maintain relationships with collaborative partners and cultivate new ones

Engage and recruit participants at community events ·

Assist in developing and supporting outreach and recruitment plans utilizing virtual technology

Researching and coordinating for hiring events, employer services, and assisting with event planning such as coordinating supplies, staffing, and facility needs ·

Create outreach and collateral materials, including flyers, brochures, press releases, presentations, and advertisements to market the program and recruit participants ·

Work with the Marketing Department to implement social media, public relations, and advertising campaigns for the program in conjunction with organizational objectives ·

Assist with participant screening and enrollment process·

Keep accurate records of follow-up with all referrals and interested participants·

Ability to work a flexible schedule as program needs require minimal travel and evenings

Approach each day and task with a “ZAG” mindset

Other duties and projects as needed

The Ideal Qualifications for this Role Include:

Bachelor’s degree or higher or an equivalent combination of education and experience

General knowledge of employment and training programs administered through the public Workforce system

Knowledge and experience of social media platforms

Experience in video production, marketing, and development of print materials is preferred.

Ability to work in a variety of settings with a culturally diverse customer base with the ability to be culturally sensitive

Ability to serve as a role model to customers and motivate them towards achieving goals

Personal computer literacy required, including effective use of the Internet, e-mail, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)

Ability to meet and/or exceed set goals and objectives.

Excellent interpersonal, time management, customer service, organizational skills, and communication skills, both oral and written required

Exceptional time management skills to meet deadlines and work under pressure

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

A Valid Driver’s License

Additional Skills/Knowledge Career TEAM Would Love for This Role:

Bilingual Preferred

Experience and knowledge of WIOA, TANF, SNAP, NCP, and Youth workforce development contracts/programs

Astounding ability to multitask and be proactive

Hourly Wage:$45,000-$55,000/ yr

Employment Type: Full-time, non-exempt

Travel: Position may require local travel on an as-needed basis
