General Description
The Business Systems & Process Analyst, Finance collaborates with Accounting, Finance, and business leaders to improve business processes, reporting, and the effective use of enterprise systems.
This role combines financial analysis, process improvement, business analysis, and systems enablement to help the organization operate more efficiently and gain greater value from its technology investments. The analyst will collaborate across the organization to identify improvement opportunities, document requirements, support solution design and implementation, and help ensure users adopt new processes and tools successfully.
The primary focus of the role will be Finance and Accounting processes, including financial reporting, planning, working capital, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and effective use of IFS and Power BI.
Specific Responsibilities
Process Improvement & Business Analysis
Analyze current business processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, controls, and user experience.
Partner with business leaders to understand challenges, define requirements, and recommend practical solutions.
Document business processes, requirements, and future-state workflows.
Facilitate root-cause analysis and support resolution of business process issues.
Systems Enablement
Help business teams gain greater value from IFS, Power BI, AI tools, and other enterprise applications.
Collaborate across departments to ensure data alignment, avoid duplication, and leverage shared systems.
Serve as a liaison between business users and technical teams.
Support system enhancements through requirements gathering, testing, implementation, documentation, and user adoption.
Evaluate opportunities for automation, reporting improvements, and process standardization.
Financial Analysis & Reporting
Perform financial and operational analysis to support business decisions.
Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and analytical tools.
Analyze spending, budgets, forecasts, variances, and working capital trends.
Present findings and recommendations to leadership.
Deliver ad hoc and project-based analysis to support both strategic planning and day-to-day operations.
Support working capital optimization efforts, with a focus on cash flow.
Project & Change Support
Assist with the intake, evaluation, and prioritization of process and system improvement opportunities.
Support business cases and value realization efforts for approved initiatives.
Help develop communication, training, and adoption plans for new processes and technologies.
Measure and report on the effectiveness of implemented improvements.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Information Systems, or a related field.
4+ years of experience in accounting, finance, business analysis, process improvement, or enterprise systems.
Strong understanding of financial reporting and accounting processes.
Experience working with ERP systems and business applications.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively across departments and influence outcomes without direct authority.
Preferred Experience/Competencies
Experience with IFS Cloud, Power BI, or similar platforms.
Experience supporting ERP implementations or enhancements.
Process improvement experience (Lean, Six Sigma, continuous improvement, etc.).
Experience with reporting, dashboards, automation, or AI-enabled business tools.
