Business Development Manager (Musical Equipment) (f/m/x) - remote
As a Business Developer for the Musical Instruments category, you will be responsible for the full sales cycle: sourcing, negotiating, and signing new brands and professional sellers, as well as managing your seller portfolio. You will also play a key role in shaping the musical instruments category’s strategy and growth.
WHO YOU ARE
You bring 3**+ years of experience in Sales, Business Development, Account Management or Partnerships**, ideally within marketplace, retail, or e-commerce environments working with brands and resellers.
You speak English fluently; an additional European language (e.g. German, Italian) is a strong plus
You have a proven track record of closing enterprise-level deals, managing long sales cycles end-to-end and/or experience in managing and growing accounts
You are passionate about working with people and can communicate, influence, and persuade stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership and C-level counterparts, backed by strong commercial acumen
You are resilient and persistent, learning from setbacks without losing momentum
You are a structured, analytical problem-solver who can quickly understand complex business and operational setups
You bring a tech and AI-first mindset to your approach, coupled with strong critical thinking skills
Location & eligibility: This role is open to candidates based in Europe (including UK) only with a valid right to work.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Identify, evaluate, and prioritize sellers and brands within the Musical Instruments category, building a strong and differentiated pipeline
Analyse market trends, demand signals, and assortment gaps to shape the category’s acquisition and growth strategy
Lead the full sales cycle independently, from first outreach and business case development to contract negotiation and deal closure
Act as a problem solver for prospective sellers, collaborating with internal teams to address commercial, operational, and technical requirements
Guide new partners through refurbed’s marketplace processes to ensure smooth onboarding and successful go-live, working closely with cross-functional teams
Take ownership of a defined seller portfolio, with a focus on growing accounts and unlocking new opportunities across countries, categories, and products
Build and maintain strong relationships with sellers, acting as their trusted partner while always representing refurbed’s position
Represent refurbed at industry fairs, events, and conferences, building visibility and long-term relationships within the Musical Instruments ecosystem
