About the team + role
The Business Development Desk is a proactive outbound sales team responsible for general asset gathering and migrating customers into our Concierge program through consolidation of assets. This team serves as brand ambassadors, education and creating awareness of all the available products and solutions available that would help the customer reach their financial goals. The team works closely with all of our customer facing teams to ensure a truly white glove/Concierge experience through the onboarding process. As a Manager of Business Development, you will lead, coach, and develop a team of Onboarding Specialists who support customers throughout their onboarding journey while also exploring any additional opportunities to consolidate/win more share of wallet. You will oversee and enhance sales pipelines, review opportunities worked for Compliance and Oversight and coaching to overall sales process and customer experience.
You will be responsible for driving team strategy, establishing operating efficiency, and driving asset growth through pipeline management and ongoing coaching and development of sales agents. In addition to developing your team, you will partner closely with product, compliance, legal, and external service providers to evolve the Business Development Desk offering, expand pipelines of opportunities and ensure all customer interactions meet all regulatory standards including RegBI and telemarketing compliance.
This is a highly cross-functional leadership role where you will work closely with our customer facing teams and business partners to drive/increase referrals to the desk and identify operational and account signals to automate additional opportunities to win new business.
This role is based in our Denver, CO or Westlake, TX office(s), with in-person attendance expected 5 days per week.

What you’ll do
Lead, coach, and develop a team of Onboarding Specialists, driving high performance, new new assets and professional growth
Ensure all team goals are being met/exceeded, including gross deposits (COV), agent productivity (opportunities worked) and limiting/addressing all Compliance infractions.
Oversee customer interactions from a team of Onboarding Specialists ensuring compliance with all RegBI, telemarketing rules and internal policies.
Create a culture of high performance while reinforcing policies, supervisory procedures, and regulatory standards
Partner cross-functionally with our customer facing partners, product, compliance, legal, and external service providers to improve workflows, expand capabilities, and enhance the customer experience
Monitor and improve team performance through data, coaching, and process optimization, identifying opportunities to scale impact efficiently
Ensure high-quality documentation and adherence to firm and regulatory standards across all customer interactions
Support escalation management and complex customer situations, providing guidance and oversight where needed
Drive initiatives to increase customer engagement, including asset consolidation, product adoption, and deeper relationship development
Bring a strong customer-first mindset, fostering a culture of empathy, clarity, and trust in all client interactions
What you bring

Current SIE, Series 7 and 66
Series 24 or 9/10
5+ years experience in sales coaching/leadership, or related financial services roles
Ability to guide agents through the sales process and develop their skills in uncovering assets through consultative engagement
Experience with sales coaching and supervision/oversight
Demonstrated ability to support asset consolidation, deepen client relationships, and increase engagement with financial products in a compliant, customer-first manner
Commitment to acting in the customer’s best interest while adhering to all regulatory requirements

In addition to the base pay range listed below, this role is also eligible for bonus opportunities + equity + benefits.
Base pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. The expected base pay range for this role is based on the location where the work will be performed and is aligned to one of 3 compensation zones. For other locations not listed, compensation can be discussed with your recruiter during the interview process.

$123,000—$145,000 USD
Zone 2 (Denver, CO; Westlake, TX; Chicago, IL)
$109,000—$128,000 USD
Zone 3 (Lake Mary, FL; Clearwater, FL; Gainesville, FL)
$96,000—$113,000 USD
