What you’ll do
Define and drive the technical direction for Android experiences across high-impact product areas, building intuitive, elegant, and reliable mobile systems using Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and modern Android APIs.
Lead complex, ambiguous initiatives end to end—from early product and technical strategy through architecture, implementation, experimentation, launch, and long-term evolution.
Partner closely with Product Managers, Designers, Backend Engineers, and Data Scientists to shape roadmaps, influence product decisions, and deliver solutions that create meaningful customer and business impact.
Establish and uphold engineering standards, architecture patterns, and development practices thatimprove quality, scalability, maintainability, and developer velocity across the team.
Act as a technical leader and multiplier by mentoring engineers, driving design reviews, unblocking critical decisions, and raising the overall bar for execution, craftsmanship, and collaboration.
What you bring
8+ years of professional experience developing Android applications, including experience leading large-scale or technically complex mobile initiatives.
Deep proficiency with Kotlin and/or Java, and strong expertise in Android SDK fundamentals and architecture patterns such as MVVM, with a track record of making sound architectural tradeoffs.
Strong experience with Jetpack Compose, Coroutines and Flow or RxJava, and common Android libraries such as Retrofit and Room, with the ability to apply them at scale in complex production environments.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional partners and align teams around technical and product direction.
Demonstrated track record of leading through ambiguity, driving architecture across multiple projects or surfaces, and mentoring senior engineers while elevating engineering standards beyond your immediate team.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
