Legend Biotech is seeking an Associate Director, Workday Solutions as part of the Human Resource team based in Bridgewater, NJ.
Role Overview
The Associate Director, Workday Solutions provides functional leadership for Workday within HR, with accountability for strategy, governance, roadmap execution, and continuous improvement. The role covers Core HCM and U.S. Payroll, Benefits, Time, and Absence, with future expansion to Talent, Advanced Compensation, and Recruiting.
This leader manages a team of approximately five HRIS professionals and works across HR, Payroll, Finance, IT, Audit, and Compliance to deliver scalable solutions, effective controls, and a strong employee and manager experience.
Key Responsibilities
Workday Strategy & Roadmap
Develop and execute the Workday roadmap aligned with HR and business priorities.
Prioritize enhancements, new capabilities, automation, and process improvements.
Evaluate Workday releases and opportunities to maximize platform value.
Functional Workday Leadership
Lead functional ownership across current and future Workday modules.
Oversee configuration, business processes, security, reporting, releases, testing, and optimization.
Ensure solutions are scalable, sustainable, and aligned with HR requirements and design standards.
Governance, Risk & Controls
Lead Workday functional governance, change controls, security practices, and standards.
Own HR-specific Workday SOX controls, audit support, remediation, and ongoing compliance.
Support strong HR data governance, access controls, and segregation of duties.
Implementation & Delivery
Lead new Workday module implementations, major enhancements, and optimization initiatives.
Drive requirements, solution design, testing, cutover, and operational readiness.
Manage delivery across HR, IT, consultants, Workday partners, and other vendors.
Change Management & Adoption
Lead change and adoption for significant Workday initiatives.
Ensure effective stakeholder engagement, communications, training, and documentation.
Use employee, manager, and HR feedback to continuously improve the Workday experience.
Team Leadership & Operations
Lead and develop approximately five HRIS professionals with clear module ownership and accountability.
Manage priorities across support, enhancements, controls, and roadmap initiatives.
Serve as the escalation point for complex Workday functional issues.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Information System
10+ years of progressive HRIS/HR systems experience with significant Workday experience.
5+ years leading Workday functional areas, implementations, or complex initiatives.
Experience with Core HCM and multiple modules such as Payroll, Benefits, Time, Absence, Compensation, Talent, Performance, or Recruiting.
Experience with Workday governance, security, controls, releases, and production support.
People leadership and implementation partner/vendor management experience.
Strong Workday functional, business process, security, and reporting knowledge.
Strong roadmap development, solution design, implementation, and change leadership.
Knowledge of HR processes, data governance, security, risk, and controls.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and prioritization skills.
Strong stakeholder management across HR, IT, Finance, Audit, and Compliance.
Proven ability to lead and develop teams.
Ability to operate strategically while maintaining sufficient Workday depth to guide design and resolve complex issues.

The base pay range below is what Legend Biotech USA Inc. reasonably expects to offer at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on experience, skills, qualifications, and geographic location. The company reserves the right to modify this range as needed and in accordance with applicable laws.
Other Types of Pay: Performance-based bonus and/or equity is available to employees in eligible roles.

Pay Range (Base Pay):
$146,410—$192,164 USD
