Deployment Strategist, LATAM
The Chainalysis Deployment Strategy team helps public and private sector customers investigate financial crimes involving cryptocurrency. We combine technical knowledge with analytical rigor to support complex investigations and build regional capacity for blockchain analysis. In the LATAM and Caribbean region, our team works directly with customers to enable them in the fast-moving world of cryptocurrency investigations. Along the way, we make the world a safer place.
As a Deployment Strategist I, you will support cryptocurrency investigations, conduct research and data analysis, and help deliver training to customers across the LATAM and Caribbean region. You will learn to use Chainalysis tools and data to develop insights on illicit activity trends in crypto, and you will present findings to team members and customers. This is a growth-oriented role for someone eager to build expertise in blockchain analysis while contributing to complex financial crime investigations alongside senior team members.
In this role, you'll:
- Support complex cryptocurrency investigations in collaboration with senior team members and cross-functional partners at Chainalysis
- Conduct research and data analysis on financial crime cases involving cryptocurrencies, and document your findings in clear reports
- Present investigative findings to team members and customers
- Assist in reviewing the completeness of investigations and data collection methods to help determine the authenticity and relevance of evidence
- Prepare summaries of research and analysis that highlight recommendations, follow-up leads, and potential risks to an investigation
- Contribute to the development and delivery of workshops and training materials in English and Spanish
- Represent the Chainalysis mission of bringing trust to blockchains with customers and partners in the region
We're looking for candidates who have:
- A degree in cybersecurity, criminal justice, intelligence, forensic accounting, data analytics, finance, or a related field
- 1-3 years of professional experience in financial crime investigations, intelligence analysis, law enforcement, compliance, or a related analytical role
- Strong research skills, including experience with open-source intelligence and public or private databases
- Interest in or passion for blockchain and cryptocurrency technology
- Fluency in Spanish and English
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work both independently and as part of a team
- Based in Mexico City or willing to relocate
Nice to have experience:
- Familiarity with Chainalysis products (Reactor, KYT, or similar tools)
- Working proficiency in Spanish
- Previous experience supporting or conducting investigations related to dark web markets, counter-terrorism financing, or sanctions evasion
- Exposure to cryptocurrency exchanges, DeFi protocols, or blockchain technology in a professional setting
- Relevant certifications such as CCFC (Chainalysis Cryptocurrency Fundamentals Certification), CDAF, CRC, CCI, CFE, or CAMS
