About the role

In the Associate Director, Media Strategy & Planning position, you will help to shape and execute a marketing strategy, ensure technical excellence in execution, and foster skillset development for Planners and Buyers supporting the business. This role will support one of our major technology clients, and will partner with cross-functional teams to infuse AI-power solutions into the workflow.

Our ideal candidate has a strong background in execution (Social, Search, or Programmatic) and is excited about translating the media’s impact to results for a client. The role requires understanding the importance of technical nuance and the ability to simplify the complexities of media for non-media clients.

At this time, Monks offers a hybrid in-office / remote policy dependent on the candidate’s proximity to an office, team, and other business needs. General health and safety considerations are under constant review, with individual cases addressed as they arise.

What you’ll do:

Strategically lead  media programs for a global client portfolio, managing in-market activity, delivering insightful recommendations, and actioning optimizations discovered through testing

Manage a team of global Planners and Buyers in the execution of paid media campaigns

Execute media plans across Google Ads, Social channels (Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn, etc.), and Video / Display

Lead reporting, including analysis, presentation and own the Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR) for client stakeholders

Mentor & develop a team across hard and soft skills, focusing on growth through execution of critical workstreams and business impact

What we need of you:

5+ years of digital marketing experience with deep expertise in Google Ads and Social Media campaign management

The ability to think strategically about complex issues, leading to thoughtful recommendations, action plans, and campaigns that drive high ROI

History of end-to-end management of digital media campaigns, from recommendation to wrap report

Exceptional presentation skills, comfortable speaking about and presenting data to clients

Proactive, disciplined, organized, self-starter and highly motivated, comfortable managing uncertainty and working independently

Excellent leadership, management and organization skills

Exceptional ability to communicate cross-functionally within a highly energetic team

Plus:

Bachelor’s degree required with strong performance in undergraduate coursework and demonstrated analytical success

Platform Certifications

Subject matter expert on programmatic media and strong knowledge of ad tech platforms (DMP, SSPs, Ad Servers)

Monks has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what Monks may pay for the position at the time of posting. Monks may ultimately pay more or less than the posted compensation range. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on job-related factors, but not based on a candidate’s sex or any other protected status.

Salary Range:

$90,000—$103,000 USD
