Associate Director, Global Medical Information
The Opportunity:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced professional to join our Global Medical Information team as an Associate Director of Medical Information. This role focuses on ensuring the delivery of timely, accurate, and evidence-based responses to healthcare professionals (HCPs), patients, and caregivers.
As a key member of the Medical Affairs team, this individual will support the development and execution of Medical Information activities across the product lifecycle, including the creation and maintenance of scientific response content, support of Medical Information contact center operations and scientific congresses. The ideal candidate is a skilled communicator with strong scientific background, demonstrated Medical Information expertise, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Develops, reviews and maintains Medical Information resources, including standard response documents (SRDs), custom response letters (CRLs), FAQs and other approved response materials.
Ensures all Medical Information content is scientifically accurate, evidence-based, consistent with the latest clinical data, and compliant with applicable regulatory requirements, industry codes and medical information standards.
Supports the management of unsolicited inquiries from healthcare professionals, patients and caregivers, ensuring responses are accurate, compliant and timely.
Monitors and analyzes Medical Information inquiry trends and customer insights to identify emerging scientific information needs, inform content development, and recommend operational improvements.
Provides Medical Information and scientific support related to companion diagnostics associated with therapeutic assets, ensuring aligned communication across relevant stakeholders.
Supports Medical Information activities at scientific congresses, including preparation of congress-specific Medical Information resources and staffing Medical Information booths.
Contributes to the development, implementation, and maintenance of Medical Information SOPs, work instructions, and operational processes to support compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies.
Monitors relevant scientific publications and clinical trial data to inform Medical Information content and strategy.
Partner cross-functionally with Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, Regulatory, Legal/Compliance, Safety, Commercial, and other stakeholders to support launch readiness and product lifecycle needs.
Provides Medical Information expertise and support for additional Medical Affairs initiatives and projects as needed.
Required Skills, Experience and Education:
Advanced degree in a scientific or medical discipline; doctoral degree preferred (PharmD, MD, PhD).
Experience supporting Medical Information activities within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, including familiarity with applicable regulatory and compliance requirements.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience creating, reviewing and managing scientific content for diverse audience.
Strong organizational, problem-solving and project management skills.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders and external partners.
Self-motivated, with the ability to exercise sound judgment, work with appropriate autonomy, and adapt to changing priorities.
Proficiency in medical information databases, content management systems and other relevant software tools.
Experience with Veeva PromoMats preferred.
Willingness to travel, approximately 10-20%.
Preferred Skills:
Minimum of 8 years of experience in Medical Affairs or a related field within the biotech or pharmaceutical industry.
Experience in oncology therapeutic area; experience supporting launch readiness preferred.
