Director, HEOR & RWE, Europe
The Opportunity:
The Director, HEOR & RWE, Europe will lead the European HEOR and RWE strategy and execution for assigned assets, disease areas, and/or evidence-generation workstreams. The Director, HEOR & RWE, Europe will identify European evidence requirements and priorities and will work with European Medical Affairs, Global HEOR & RWE, Market Access, Clinical Development, and local affiliates to ensure that plans address regional and country needs. The role will oversee HEOR/RWE evidence generation driving differentiated value demonstration across European markets and the region as a whole. Reporting to the Executive Director, HEOR & RWE, Europe and as a key member of European matrix team, the Director HEOR & RWE will establish priorities, provide expert HEOR/RWE guidance, resolve trade-offs, and ensure delivery of agreed strategic and tactical outcomes. Key Responsibilities:
European HEOR & RWE Strategy: Lead, own, and evolve the European HEOR and RWE strategy for assigned assets, disease areas, and/ or evidence-generation workstreams across the product lifecycle. Set evidence priorities and success measures to support the medical strategy, value demonstration, pricing and reimbursement, and local HTA submissions.
Integrated Evidence Planning: assess, prioritisise, and articulate the European evidence needs and ensure agreed plans address critical evidence gaps and regional and local requirements, with clear deliverables, accountabilities, timelines, and decision points.
Evidence Generation & Analysis: Direct and be accountable for the design, execution, scientific quality, and delivery of health economic models (cost-effectiveness, budget impact), real-world evidence, burden-of-disease assessments, patient-centred outcomes research, and other evidence packages supporting regulatory filings, JCA and HTA submissions, reimbursement decisions, and payer engagement.
Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner with Medical Affairs, Market Access, Commercial, Regulatory, Clinical Development, Global HEOR, and local affiliates to integrate payer and evidence requirements into development, launch, and lifecycle plans; resolve priorities and trade-offs; and drive timely execution.
External Engagement: Serve as an European HEOR/RWE representative for Revolution Medicines in scientific, payer, and HTA forums. Drive strategic engagement with key opinion leaders, academic collaborators, HTA bodies, payers, data partners, and other external stakeholders to inform evidence plans and strengthen value demonstration.
Vendor and Programme Accountability: Select, direct, and hold external consultants, research partners, and vendors accountable for scope, methodology, scientific quality, budget, timelines, risk management, and final outputs. Ensure deliverables are fit for purpose and support agreed business and evidence objectives.
Value Communication and Scientific Dissemination: Develop and deliver clear, scientifically robust HEOR/RWE narratives, evidence summaries, value messages, and dissemination plans for senior leadership and external audiences. Translate complex findings into actionable recommendations and ensure consistency across European and global stakeholders.
Required Skills, Experience and Education:
Deep expertise in health economics, outcomes research, patient-reported outcomes or related fields in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry.
Experience in oncology HEOR and RWE development.
10+ years of relevant experience with an advanced degree in a relevant field (MSc, DrPH, PharmD).
Track record of high impact publications in HEOR and RWE topics.
Strong written and interpersonal communication skills, with an ability to present complex technical information clearly.
Knowledge and experience of European HTA and price and reimbursement landscape.
Ability to establish relationships with experts in real world evidence (RWE) and therapeutic areas of interest.
Preferred Skills:
Advanced, medical/scientific doctoral level degree (PhD or MD).
Personnel management experience, including leading HEOR scientists.
