ART DIRECTOR
Role: Art Director
Location: Chicago, Illinois - Hybrid: 1 day/week in office
About the role:
As Art Director, you'll work across our client's full creative output — concepting campaign ideas, art directing shoots, and delivering production-ready assets across digital, social, video, and retail. You'll bring strong craft skills alongside the ability to guide creative direction on projects, working closely with copywriters, producers, strategists, and account teams. This is a role for someone equally comfortable delivering independently and leading creative collaboratively, with a genuine interest in how great products are brought to market.
What you will be doing:
Concept and develop creative ideas across full marketing mix — digital, social, video, photography, retail, and e-commerce — from brief through to final delivery
Lead the visual development of product launches, ensuring creative integrity and consistency across all channels and formats
Art direct photo and video productions, bringing a clear visual vision and confident on-set direction
Present creative work clearly and persuasively to internal stakeholders and clients, articulating the thinking behind every decision
Collaborate with copywriters, motion designers, and producers to deliver cohesive, high-quality creative across campaigns
Develop and adapt assets across multiple formats and platforms, maintaining brand standards and creative quality at every scale
Contribute actively to briefing and concepting sessions, bringing fresh thinking and a well-reasoned creative point of view
Mentor and support junior creatives, providing clear, constructive direction that raises the quality of team output
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing effectively and communicating proactively on timelines and deliverables
Stay current with design, platform, and consumer trends relevant to the home appliances and consumer goods category
What you need to be great in this role:
A strong portfolio demonstrating conceptual thinking and high-quality visual craft across digital, social, campaign, and production work
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Figma; After Effects or broader motion experience is an advantage
Experience developing creative for product launches — able to translate product benefits into compelling, consumer-facing visual stories
The ability to concept and execute independently, and to collaborate effectively across cross-functional creative teams
A solid understanding of digital and social platforms and how creative performs across formats and channels
Clear and confident communication skills, with the ability to present and defend creative decisions to colleagues and clients
A proactive, organized approach to managing multiple briefs in a fast-paced environment
Experience in an agency or in-house studio environment (agency background is a plus)
