About the Role

Monks is looking for an Associate Account Director (Brand) who will be a valued advisor and partner to one of our larger clients, and to support the larger teams in creating data-driven, award-winning work. They identify and champion great creative work and understand the importance of flawless delivery. They are an open and willing resource to team members in assessing ideas and directions, and providing guidance to push further, pushing creative and strategy to deliver better work.

This person will be responsible for inspiring great creative through confident decision-making, positive collaboration, quick problem-solving, and effective communication. You will build relationships with Director and VP-level clients, championing the Monks vision and positioning a sound strategy for organic revenue growth, developing scopes of work and managing resources.

With a focus on brand social strategy, working closely with day-to-day clients, cross-functional client teams, IAT and brand partners, you will help clients connect the dots across initiatives so everything ladders up to bigger brand ambitions and cultural salience. You will coach and inspire the growth and development of agency staff by providing consistent feedback, training, and growth opportunities. Once comfortable, you will also join senior leadership to scale learning and growth throughout the agency.

Responsibilities:

Effectively consult on creative ideas and executions

Deliver effective storytelling against sponsorship and talent partnerships

Inspire larger creative strategies that can create further business outcomes

Identify how the outcomes we are driving by our work can scale to other parts of the business

Understand and champion agile production that can flex efficiently with market needs

Manage a scope of work and create organic growth to expand our relationship

About You

The essentials:

5-7+ years of agency experience required

Onsite with the client up to 4 days a week.

A passion for and experience in brand marketing

Strong people skills - good at building relationships, comfortable conversationalist, with a presence that compels others to pay attention

Diplomatic and empathetic leadership

Experience in social media, fluency in media and KPIs

An effective communicator, strong writer and strong presenter

Not a must, but a plus:

Experience working in entertainment or brand partnerships

Ability to balance the best interests of Monks and our clients and their businesses

Monks has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what Monks may pay for the position at the time of posting. Monks may ultimately pay more or less than the posted compensation range. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on job-related factors, but not based on a candidate’s sex or any other protected status.

Salary Range:

$100,000—$120,000 USD
